Chapter 17: Amazing Grace

The next morning I woke up and got dressed. After I was dressed mark dragged me into the bathroom to look at my mark.

My mark was a wolf paw print with a brown wolf inside it. It's eyes were blue and under it 'mark' was written in black and blue cursive letters.

Mark's mark was the same thing except it was a white and brown wolf with brown eyes.

"It's beautiful."

I tell him and he smiles.

"Yeah."

He whispers as he pressed a kiss to it. I moan softly but a knock at our cuts off our little session.

'Aww! But I wanted to be mated!!!'

Freedom whines but I block her out. She can be horny on her own time. I walk out to find sage at the door.

"We need you in the lab right away. They have it. They have the cure."

Sage says and Mark gasps. I gasp and bolt out of the room as if it was on fire. Mark and sage follows after me in a fit of cheers and shouts.

I run into the lab and I find everyone with smiles on their faces.

"Is it true?! Do you have the cure?"

I ask them and they nod. They hold up a red vial for me to see.

"The cure for the black Plague."

They tell me and I gasp. I shake my head to snap out of my trance and back into reality.

"Okay we need to send a sample to every major lab in every pack. We need to get this mass produced and mass distributed."

I tell them and they nod. They begin making calls and loading stuff into locked suit cases.

"We have 6 pilots on the roof with jets that can fly the leaders and the cures to their packs. We just need to get everything loaded up."

Sage said and everyone left the basement.

"You two saved the day. You two helped stop the black plague. I'm proud."

Ace said and he bolted out of the room. I looked at Mark and Mark looked back at me. We smiled and followed everyone else out.

Outside of the house sage and Jaylin were busy getting all the survivors lined up for the cure. The doctors already had it given to them so they could be out without a gas mask.

"Our plane awaits."

Mark said as he took my hand and led me over to a jet. We hopped into and the pilot shut the top. He turned the engine on and we took off.

On our way back we felt like we were on cloud nine. Everything would be okay. Everyone would be safe.

After an hour ride we finally landed in the intelligence pack. We landed on top of a hospital.

Mark, Daniel, Kayleigh and I all grabbed our share of the cure and ran into the hospital. Once inside we handed one to the doctors and they began giving it out.

Daniel and Kayleigh stayed behind to make sure everything went smoothly their while mark and I took the cure to a lab.

"We have the cure!"

Mark shouted as we ran into the lab. The scientists began working on the cure while we watched.

After a few hours we had enough of the cure to cure the whole pack. We went out and gave it out to everyone.

"We need to do something about the dead bodies."

I told mark and he sighed.

"I say we collect them and burn them in an old house or something. This way we can make room for new buildings."

I tell him and he smiles.

"I agree."

He said and he mind linked some people. Soon we had 20 people picking up and carrying dead bodies into a dead neighborhood.

'DDDDAAAAAAAADDDDDD! IIIIIMMMMM BBBBBAAAAAAAACCCKKK!!'

I shout into our mind link.

'Grah! Thanks a lot you made me spill my tea. But thanks for telling me. Do you have the cure?'

Dad asked and I smirked.

'Yes we have the cure. I'll send some doctors up there now to give it to you and your crew.'

I tell him and I turn to mark.

"I'm already on it."

Mark says and I smile. Later that night we had every dead person in the city placed in one large area.

"We gather here tonight to honor the lives of our loved ones. I have taken count and 682 of us have passed into the next life. For those that remain I'm truly sorry for your loss. I have lost some family to this as well. If you would please stand with me as we throw in torches to light up the night. That we may say goodbye to our family the same way our ancestors would have."

Mark yells and everyone stands. Mark and I throw our torches into the area and they catch on. The guards throw theirs in then my father's crew throws theirs in. Soon we have a large fire going.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound."

I begin to sing and Mark looks at me but joins in.

"That saved a wrech like me."

We sing and my father, brother, and their crew join in.

"I once was lost. But now I am found. Was blind and now I see."

We sing and soon the whole crowd of people are singing with us. All 627 pack members join in singing for the loss of our loved ones.

"Twas grace that taught my heart to fear. And grace my fears relieved.

How precious did, that grace appear. The hour I first believed."
