I moved and sat next to my father. Ava sat next to me a blushing mess. I seriously screwed up now.

"What did you do?"

Dad asked me and I sighed. I grabbed Ava's hand and held it in mine.

"I marked Ava but not where I was supposed to."

I told him as I hung my head low. Guilt caused a ball to form in my throat that made it hard to breath and speak.

"Where? Where did you mark her?"

He asked me and the guilt flooded my body. Marking your mate on their neck is one thing, but where I marked her is another. Marking your mate in the wrong spot could be deadly!

"Her core! My wolf wanted his mark to be near some place where only we could see. He chose her core dad! He had control and I just couldn't stop him! I tried."

I shout as tears begin to stream down my face. My wolf was crying and my mate couldn't do a thing. It wasn't her fault, it was mine.

"James do you know how deadly that is?"

Dad asked and I snapped. Tears flooded down my face and guilt and anger got the best of me.

"Of course I do! Don't you think I know?!"

I shout at him as I stand up. Ava stands in front of me and I look down into her brown eyes.

"Calm down James. Everything will be okay."

She whispers as she presses her body to mine. Her hands cup my cheeks which causes me to look at her.

"James please calm down. We can find a way to get through this."

She whispers and my eyes soften. The thought of her worrying for me causes me to feel bad. I hold her hand which is on my cheek and nod.

"Okay."

I'm handed back control and I feel someone's arms around me. I panic at first but calm down once I felt the sparks.

"Mark we need to get to work."

I tell him and he looks down at me. His eyes are full of curiosity and wonder.

"Work on what?"

He asks as he furrows his eyebrows. His look hasn't faltered one bit. But his eyes now hold love as well.

"The cure. I'm sick and tired of people getting sick. I don't want this around any more. Please we should go to one of your teams in another pack. Send your beta to the other. We need to get this moving along."

I tell him and he nods. I'm surprised he hasn't actually done something.

"Your right. What type of alpha have I been just sitting around. I'll pack my bags and we will leave for the power pack."

He tells me and I nod. He begins to pack his bags and I stand there with a hand on my hip.

"I'll go tell the others."

I tell him and he nods. I walk out of the room and into the living room. I see Griffen and Altaïr talking. Dad is gone and I hear James yelling about something.

"Alphas. Mark and I are going to the Power pack to help with the cure. We were wondering if marks beta would like to go to the fear pack and help there?"

I ask them as I stand in the door way. Griffen smiles as he directs his attention from the TV to me.

"No need to call us alpha any more. We are all equals now."

Griffen said and I nodded. I walked into the room and a man with brown hair stood up.

"I'm Daniel, marks beta. I don't believe we have met before."

He says as he walks over to me. I smile and we shake hands. His smile is one that will brighten up a room.

"Emmalyn Chandler."

I tell him and he smiles. He places his hand in his pockets and I place mine on my hips.

"So we are going to the Power pack and we need you to go to the fear pack."

I tell him and he nods. I see Ava walk out of a hallway with James by her side. She is crying and I run to her. Dad walks out behind them and I glare at the two men. James bows his head and dad chuckles.

"She already has the luna glare."

Dad said and I glared at him. He bowed his head and I softened my eyes when I looked at Ava.

"Ava what's wrong?"

I ask and she looks up at me. Her eyes are red and puffy. Tear stains stain her cheeks as well.

"I need to have my mark removed. We don't know how."

She said and i gasped. She began crying again and I glared at James. He did something and now I'm going to fix it.

"What did you do?!"

I yelled at him and he put his hands up in surrender. He had tears in his eyes as well.

"I marked her in the wrong place. We don't know how I can remark her."

He said and I looked back down at Ava. She is crying again and I sigh. I turn to my father and he is looking at James with sorrow in his eyes.

"We are going to have to break werewolf law and call apon fate."
