High End of Lifes Downside

Chapter 5

"Where are you?" a voice calls

"I'm over here! help!" The other voice calls

"Dont leave me here please!" It calls again now becoming a girls voice

"I will never leave you!" The first voice calls now becoming more masculine in nature

Jason POV

Myeyes slowly open as I see distorted light peering through the window above my bed, illuminating the room and everything in it, posters, a flat screen tv, a sliding closet door, and a fish tank on a shelf

As I sit up and become aware of my surroundings with the fresh smell of bacon lingering in the morning air as I look over at my clock '9:47'

"oh Shit!!" I yell and run to my closet grabbing a black BOTDF shirt and blue and white skinny jeans and rushing into the bathroom throwing my hair into place as fast as I can

After I finish getting ready up stairs I run downstairs and remember I forgot socks, I need those I laugh to myself and run back upstairs and grab a pair of black socks and pull them on quickly

"What's going on?" My brother stumbles out of his room rubbing his eyes and looking at me like I'm crazy "Why are you being so loud?" He asks me again

"My alarm didn't go off!" I shout at him making him jump back

"Itssaturday" His words slur together but enough so I can understand him

"Really?" My eyes go wide as I look at this idiot telling me its Saturday

"Yeah.. So .. Keep it down.. I'm going back to bed" he scratches his head and walks back into his room shutting the door behind him

'Wow.. It is Saturday' I think to myself as I pull my socks off and lay back down looking at the ceiling

***One hour later***

'Hey <3'-from Josie

'Hi <3'-From Jason

'Wanna hang out?'-Josie

'I thought I was supposed to ask you that lol'-Jason

'Does it matter :3 come pick me up'- Josie

'Okay be over in a few minutes'-Jason

I jumped up and pulled my socks back up and ran back down stairs past my mom in the kitchen

"Where are you off to so quickly?" She asks me as I back up to look at her through the door way

"I'm going over to a friends house for the day" I say lying to her

"Okay well be home before dark" she smiles and waves me bye as I put on my converses and walk outside to my car and pulling out and driving up to Josie's house

As I pull up I hear her dad yelling at somebody and I see Josie walk out of the house quickly with a black shirt saying Burn Mother Fucker Burn on the back, ripped white and red skinny jeans with green socks and white converses. She dosnt look back but her dad looks out the front door with disgust as he closes the door behind her

After Josie gets in "what was that about?"

"My dads being a dick because he didnt want me to hang out with you" she says leaning back in the seat and exhaling

"Well we're hanging out and he can get over it" I smile at her and begin to back out and drive out of town

"Where are we going?" Josie asks me looking around

"It's a surprise" I smile an continue driving in silence for a few minutes before Josie plugs in her iPod and turns on a song

Knives and pens by Black Veil Brides starts playing. I sing along so I can warmup my voice
