To remember - to recollect, recall, remind, reminisce. To bring an image or idea from the past into the mind.
The act of remembering something, Of recollecting gone days: of reliving the past. All of our memories are always taken for granted. We usually never stop to think about our past; always telling ourselves that looking into the past is keeping us from looking forward into the future. Truthfully thought, our past is what paved the road to the future, it is what made us who we are. Without those memories, and created beliefs that we retained from our pasts, we are nothing but clean slates just waiting for something to fill the void. We are malleable, easily changed and controlled. With new thoughts planted into our heads, new ideas, memories that are not our own; we are completely different people.
Maybe you will remember who I was before all of this. Before our government was over ruled. Before the Resistants began losing numbers.
Maybe you will remember me, but I will not remember you. And not matter what now, No matter how close we might have been before all of this happened; If you fight the power, If you resist...
I will not hesitate to kill you.
