Aiko woke up to a knock on her door. "Aiko-chan, it's dinner time." Kyo called from the other side of the door.
"Okay! Thanks for letting me know." She called back. Aiko stood up and walked over to the door. "I suppose I should grab that letter." She said to herself as she went over to grab the letter. Aiko made her way downstairs with the letter in hand.
Toshihiro stepped out of the kitchen with food in hand. He spotted Aiko and smiled. Aiko smiled back and went in the kitchen to be greeted by Kenji serving up the food.
He looks up at Aiko. "Are you hungry?" He asked as he pulled out an extra plate. Aiko replied, "Yes! It looks really good."
"Well I made it so it is good." Kenji chuckled. Aiko smiled as she got her food. She left the kitchen and saw Toshihiro sitting at the table. She went over and sat with him. Toshihiro smiled.
Aiko smiles back and then looks down at her food. "So my dad sent me a letter."
Toshihiro's eyes widened. "How did he find out you were living here!?"
"I don't know, but apparently he is super rich and successful now." Aiko took the letter out of her jean pocket and handing it over to Toshihiro. Toshihiro unfolded the letter and read it. "What the fuck?! Why does he think has the right to say this stuff about you and your mother?!"
"Toshihiro it's not that big of a deal. Just drop it." Aiko grabs the letter from his hand and puts it back in her pocket.
"What do you mean it isn't not a big deal?! It's a big deal when he insults you!"
"He doesn't know me so his insults don't matter!" Aiko snaps back.
Toshihiro looks down at his food. "You and your mother don't need extra crap coming from him."
Aiko places her hand on his shoulder. "Thanks." Aiko starts to eat her dinner and Toshihiro eats in silence.
As Aiko finished her food she took her plate in to the kitchen and washed it. She made her way up to her room as her phone started to ring. Answering her phone Aiko walked into her room. "Hello?"
"Aiko-San, its Araki."
"Araki-san? What is it?"
"They loved the story idea. But your dead line for the first chapter is the end of the month. I tried to get it to be in two months but they wouldn't have it."
"Araki-San it's fine. You know I work quick."
"I'm counting on you Aiko. Don't make me regret letting you change stories."
"You won't. I promise. I have to go if I'm going to get a start on the story."
"Of course. Good luck Aiko-San. Don't let me down. Goodbye."
"You can count on me. Goodbye."
Aiko ended the call and grabbed her sketch book and headed over to her desk. "Okay. Let's start this." She grabbed out her pencils and pen and got to work. 15 minutes into her sketching there was a knock at her door. "Come in." She calls as she sets down her pencil and closes the book.
Kyo stepped into the room. "I hope I'm not interrupting something important Aiko-chan."
"Nope. Not at all. What's up?" Aiko smiled.
"Nothing much." Kyo replied as he rubbed his arm. "Wait. I wanted to know what kind of girl Toshihiro is into?"
Aiko looked at him confused. "Why would you want to know that?"
"Well there is this one girl who goes to school with him that keeps throwing herself at him." Kyo looked over at Aiko waiting for a response.
"Well Kyo I know you don't have to worry about anything. Toshihiro is loyal to his partner until the end. He's not going to go after some girl like that anyways. He prefers them classy." Aiko giggled.
Kyo smiled. "Thanks Aiko-chan. What are you working on?"
"Oh just my manga. Why?" Aiko asked. Kyo shifted his position a bit.
"I looked in your sketch book last night after you went to bed and your characters all kind of look like someone in the house."
Aiko internally panicked for a second.
"Must be a coincidence. I mean you guys were fresh in my mind when I started. That could be why." She shrugged."Oh, yeah that's right. I'm sorry for looking at your personal stuff."
Aiko smiled. "It's fine. Everyone is curious."
"But doesn't Curiosity kill the cat?" Kyo asked confused.
"Yes but satisfaction brought it back."
