"So, what are we looking at again?" I asked, leaning forward in the seat so my head stuck between my father and uncle.

Dean reached into the back seat and handed Sam a newspaper.

"Two young women found near the freeway with their throats ripped out." Sam read out loud and I snorted because it just reminded me of Derek.

"Sounds vampy to me," I commented and Dean nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, maybe."

"Listen, if you want to take a knee on this one if you're not feeling up to it..." Dean trailed off as he looked at Sam.

"What?" Sam asked, his eyebrows scrunching together in confusion.

"You know, the trials, what Cas said that you got what he can't cure."

"Hmm, which means what, exactly?" Sam asked him.

"Well, I don't know. You tell me." Dean did a weird shrug thing. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Are you okay?"

"Me?" Dean asked in bewilderment. I rolled my eyes and sat back.

"Yeah. Um, Cas dinged you up pretty good," Sam reminded him.

Dean paused as he looked at Sam, "And?"

"And I just wanted to make sure you're okay," Sam told him like it was obvious.

"What like my feelings?" Dean asked him, blinking his eyes a couple of times.

"Feelings?" I asked quietly to myself. Does he like Cas?

"If that's what you want to talk about, sure."

"Okay. I'll tell you what. Why don't I go get some, uh, herbal tea." I grinned because I knew where this was going.

"Okay," Sam said as he went to open the door.

"And you can find some cowboy junkies on the dial." I chuckled as Sam tried escaping the car.

"Eat me, Dean."

I snorted and watched the whole thing play out.

"And you know what? We'll just talk it out," Dean said loudly as Sam got put of the car and slammed it shut. "Good talk." I laughed and got out of the car too. "Nay, great talk! Very healthy!" I heard Dean shout and the Impala door shut. I shook my head and caught up with Sam.

SHERIFF STATION -

We showed our FBI badges to the sheriff.

"FBI? You're here about the Lady Killer Murders, aren't you?" The sheriff asked and I tilted my head a little.

"The Lady Killer Murders?" I asked as I looked at the sheriff. Wow, what a good name. Note the sarcasm.

"Yeah, coined it myself."

"Congratulations. What can you tell us?" Dean asked with a tight lip smile. The sheriff began to walk and we trailed behind him.
