Final Blade Book One

Chapter 2 - The Walking Dead

Aoi walks out his front door and locks it. He looked over to his right and saw a dead body that looked like a wolf might have gotten it. The body makes sense because it's probably a wolf attack but the flaming car that could explode any second now is weird...Aoi starts walking a bit faster and reaches his school. It was completely silent.  Aoi walked up to his Highschool and tried to open the doors. No use...it won't budge...hmm maybe jumping in through the window? It's worth a shot...that will work because I'm the one jumping through it! Aoi laughed and leaped to the second floor crashing through the window. Glass shattered all over the floor but he didn't have a single cut on him. Aoi walks to his usual classes and finds nothing , not even students in the school at all. He jumped back out the window and looked around at the parking lot. Where is everyone? Aoi heard a sound like someone calling his name. He kept looking around him but saw nothing. The voice grew louder and louder. Finally , he spotted a girl behind a tree. She sounds like she's been through alot. Her voice was shaky but she managed to speak. "Come over , here please." He ran over silently and recognized Aimi. He stood in front of her kneeling down. "Aimi! Where is everyone?" She was frightened. " T-they're all dead because of the walking corpses. It's chaos Aoi...nobody survived except me....and I feel bad that I didn't save them! " Aoi hugged her tightly and whispered. "It's ok I know this is a mistake that will haunt you for the rest of your life probably but , just know I'll always be there to help....and what do you mean that you weren't able to save them?" Aoi asked curiously. If she is like me...different I mean , from other people then , that means that she'll be able to help me find the Final Blade. I'll tell her the legend to it later but I have to know if she is the one. " I have something different from what other people have or I am different from other people..." She stood up letting go of him. Her eyes started to glow red. The ground started shaking so Aoi had to wrap around a tree to keep balance. An orb formed around her and disappears in white mist. When Aoi looked at her she was wearing a crimson dress. Fiery wings formed on her back and she pulled out her blade. I thought I was the only one with the other blade other than the Final Blade!? This is gonna make me go crazy! Aoi looked at her in awe and confusion. " You have another of the legendary Blades...." She replied , " Yes and I'm sorry I didn't tell you before. " Aoi released his grip around the tree and stood in front of her. A Flaming tornado appeared around Aoi causing the ground to shake and the wind to pick up speed. Aoi steps out slowly wearing long crimson jacket. His hair changes to a white snowy color. Horns as dark as night appear on his head. His pants are black and his boots are too. Crimson wings for on his back and his sharp fangs are visible when he smiles. His jacket is open to show his muscular chest. Aimi would blush. " So , your also another indifferent soul like me." Aoi walked over to her and lifted her chin , looking into her sparkling up. " Remember I'm still Aoi. This also confirms were soul mates Aimi-chan." He smiled , chuckling softly. She blushed bright red and looked away too embarrassed to speak. Aoi looked over her shoulder and glared at the walking corpse just about to approach. The corpse started to cripple as Aoi closed his hand slowly. Aimi looked in amazement as the corpse crippled into an ash pile. "There's more of them isn't there?" Aoi whispered softly in her ear , curiously. She replied a bit worried. "Y-yes there are but they're not really in this area of town." Aoi smiled pulling her close to him. She blushed as he whispered. "There's no need to be worried Aimi. I'll protect you no matter what happens , My lady." Aoi held her in his arms and soon they were soaring through the air and landing in the middle of lost souls walking towards them. Mom used to call them limpers because of how they walked. "Would you do the honors Aimi?" Aoi held out his hand offering the corpse for her to kill. "Thank you Aoi." She smiled and whistled for her unknown weapon. Aoi looked back surprised as a White tiger jumped from behind bushes landing gracefully in front of them. " I didn't know you were an animal person to be honest..." She stuck her tongue out teasingly. " Fetch Takagi, your prey is here!"  Aimi said and watched as the lifeless souls are now eaten alive. Technically , they are eaten "dead". Aoi smiled when suddenly he didn't notice a corpse behind him. She smiled back devilishly and Aoi felt a bite   in his right shoulder. He fell to the ground as blood gushed out where the corpse had bitten and was eaten alive. "Aimi h-help please..." He reached out his hand begging her to help him but she walked away leaving him there to be eaten alive. "Goodbye Aoi.  It's been fun." She laughed as Aoi took his last breath.         
Aoi woke up from his bed covered in sweat as the sun filtered through the blinds. It was a dream?! He stared down at his hands. What just happened?! it felt so real though....but one things for sure : Aimi is indifferent just like me and she is also in search of what I'm searching for......The Final Blade....
