Abandoned Princess

Chapter 1

It was a Monday, and it was wet and rainy outside. I was sitting on my bed, waiting for my parents to get home. It wasn't going to be good when they got home.

Suddenly, I heard them open the door and come in. I swallowed hard. I wasn't ready to be yelled at and beaten. Mom came up to my room. She banged on the door and said, "Addison June, get out here NOW." I had to listen. So I slowly opened my door, and when I did, Mom grabbed my arm tightly and pulled me downstairs. I didn't say anything. I couldn't try to defend myself - it only made it worse. And plus, I was only 4, so I really couldn't anyway.

Just as we got downstairs, Dad was waiting on me with a belt in his hand. I knew what was about to happen. He would beat me with a belt everyday, and he would beat me hard.

He grabbed me and forced me to the floor, face down. He slapped me with the belt as hard and as long as he could. It really hurt me. I cried, but not out loud. I was not allowed to cry out loud.

He picked me up and threw me on the couch after he beat me. I was totally frightened. He came up to me, got in my face, and spit on me. He said, "You can go back to your room now. And don't come out here, or I will beat you again." I ran upstairs.

I was very hungry. They hardly ever fed me anything. I just threw myself down onto the bed, face down. I sobbed, but I tried to make sure that they didn't hear me crying. I cried and cried. I was small, so I got up and opened my closet. I hid in the closet for a little bit. I cried in the closet, too. Sometimes I wished I could just leave. That I could live with someone else. Maybe one day, that would come true. I hoped so. I hoped that I would be rescued by someone.
