AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I am SO sorry this update took so long everyone! I hope nothing like this happens again. I will be trying to update quicker now that I am on summer break though! Anyways, I hope you all like this well over-due chapter! Everything begins to decline into madness...NOW!

Dipper was able to change relatively quickly, stumbling a few time when putting his legs in his shorts. After getting up from the floor, tying his shoes, he walked back into the main room. He fixed his hat, which was pointed to the side, and walked back over to his uncle.

"You all ready to go, kiddo?" Stanley asked. Dipper nodded, both excited and anxious about going back to the Shack. He wasn't sure what was real anymore, so maybe it wasn't even the Mystery Shack! "Yeah, let's go...."

Stan nodded as the two males exited out of the room, Stan looking at his nephew concerned. "So, how ya' feeling?" The old man was worried about Dipper and especially after the teen's outburst yesterday. "Alright, I guess. It's just so-... never mind."

"'So' what?"
"It's nothing, really."
"Are you sure?"

Dipper was quiet as he looked down. "It's just all so weird... I don't even know when it started to be a dream, and I can't tell what actually was real... So much happened, but.."

Stanley put his hand on his great nephew's shoulder, giving him a comforting smile. "It's okay, you'll be alright. I know it's going to be hard for you since Mabel has to go, but I know you two will be able to keep in touch until next summer-"

"I have to stay here without Mabel until next summer?!" Dipper said in surprise that he wouldn't see her for that long. "...The doctors and I agree that you'd be better off here, I know how it is for you and your sister back in Piedmont. I'd keep her out here too, if I could." Stan said apologetically as the walked out the hospital doors and neared the car.

Dipper was quiet for the rest of the way into the car and a little bit as they drove off. "Did they ever call? My parents?" Not looking away from the road, Stan nodded. "Yeah, they called to check up on you a few times." "That's surprising..." Dipper mumbled, Stan not hearing what he said.

He has to find out. He has to find out if it was a dream, if he's crazy! First thing he'll do after talking to Mabel is going out into the woods and search for the journal. If he can find that, then it means that it IS true. That this summer actually happened. That he isn't crazy. That Ford is still trapped in the portal's world.... That Bill Cipher has returned.

At least now Dipper had an idea of how to find the journals' secrets and where to find journals one and two. Finding journal one would require a plan designed around Stan being out of the house for about an hour or more along with he himself being the only one home. Journal two, however, would require a far more complicated plan to get from Gideon.

Before the teen knew it, the car had turned down the bumpy dirt road that led to the Mystery Shack. Ever since Dipper showed signs of waking up, Stan had temporarily closed the Shack from the public so that way he could make sure his nephew was okay.

Mabel was waiting on the porch when the red car pulled up. Her eyes lit up as a smile found its way to her lips as she ran over to the car and swung open her brother's door before he could even undo his seatbelt. "Dipper!!!" The girl yelled as she pulled the younger twin into a tight hug. After getting his seat belt off and standing up, Dipper hugged back. "I'm so glad you're okay..." Mabel said as she buried her head in his shoulder. "Me too.. I-I'm sorry about before." Dipper replied as he looked at the Shack. His balance was still off, so he was mostly leaning on Mabel as support. After all, he had been asleep for the entire summer, or so everyone thought.

"Don't be, dummy!" The girl replied, getting extremely emotional. How long did they even have to talk before she had to leave? Fifteen minutes at maximum maybe! Mabel pulled away from Dipper, a smile on her face and water in her eye. Dipper couldn't help but grin slightly at his sister- damn, was he going to miss her! At least they could video chat each day, right? "C'mon, I wanna show you everything you've missed!"

"Alright, alright!" Dipper replied with a slight chuckles as his older twin sister dragged him by the wrist inside. "S-slow down!" He cried as he almost tripped up the stairs. Mabel was taking him up to the attic- he suspected it to be taken over by boy band posters and other girly crap. He was entirely wrong, Mabel's side was SWARMED with all he thought. However, it appeared that his side remained untouched. His phone was even right where he left it. However, there was a blue pine tree hat in the center of his pillow. Mabel picked it up and placed it on his head, "Here , I thought this would be a nice wake-up present for you!" "Thanks," Dipper smiled. "It's perfect. "

The time pasted in a blink of an eye. Before the twins knew it, they were at the bus stop and Mabel had her luggage and pig. Apparently, she still won Waddles at the fair despite Dipper not being there. The pig had helped her not feel so lonely at home.

"I'll video chat you as soon as I get home!" Mabel promised as she hugged her brother, a few tears slipping. The deja-vu was intense for Dipper, but the scene was different this time. Now, Mabel was going home alone. "You better..." Dipper replied. "I'll be waiting for you to...!"

Hugs were distributed to the other people who wished to see Mabel off; Wendy, Soos, Stanley, Candy, and Grenda. The teen boy just stood in the back as his sister was swarmed by other people and eventually walked onto the bus. The twins waved "bye" one last time through the window, both horribly upset to see the other fade away into the distance.

"So," Stanley spoke to Dipper as he turned towards him. "Are you ready to go-" Much to the elderly man's surprise, Dipper was walking off into the forest. "I'll meet you back at the Shack, I-I just have to check something...." "Kid-" He sighed. Soos put a hand on the man's shoulder. "Don't worry, Mr. Pines. If Dipper isn't back by dark, I'll go lookin' for him." Stan looked back at the trees and saw his nephew beginning to run. What was so important to him out in those woods?...

Panting, Dipper finally reached the spot where he had found the mysterious journal before. The teen was hunched over slightly against a tree and attempted to catch his breath as a few tears rolled down his cheeks.

Mabel was gone and he wouldn't be seeing her from around a year, the longest they've ever been apart. Bill was right, he wouldn't last long without her.

Finally, Dipper caught his breath and stood back up straight, tired. The teen didn't care about his exhaustion, however. He just wanted to find out what the hell was happening all around him. Dipper looked around the area, checking the tree with the control panel and the trap-door area in which the journal had been placed in.

The teen took a step back to try and get a better view of the clearing and tripped over a small rock, causing him to tumble backwards down a hill. "AAGG!!!!!" Finally, after what felt like five minutes of tumbling, Dipper finally hit the bottom onto flat land. "OOF!"

Once his head stopped spinning and his vision began to clear, the teen grabbed onto a large rock in front of him and pulled himself up, his eyes half closed. He held onto this rock and he attempted brushing the dirt of his clothes, his shirt and shorts ripped in certain places and were covered in grass stains. Once he finished, he attempted to turn around and release his grip from this stone. However, his aching hand wouldn't move. "What the-!!!!!!"

When Dipper looked back at what he was holding, his eyes wide open now, he saw that this so called "rock" was actually a stone statue of the evil demon that spoke to him in his head,

Bill Cipher.

The boy's grip was released as he fell back on his butt, scooting as far away from the cursed statute as he could, shaking in fear. Dipper stopped as the statue's hand began glowing a light shade of blue and a bright flash of light came, causing the world around the youngest Pines to go monochrome.

"Well, well, well~"
