"You know, you're the first woman I actually fell in love with." She looked around, blush tickling her cheeks.
"Harry...stop..." she couldn't help but smile a little. He looked at her with those emeralds that made her melt every time. A part of her missed the love she saw in them, but now she didn't see it as much. He smirked at her and took another sip of his smoothie.
"So. Two Ghosts. Is it about me?" Harry's eyes widened and he cleared this throat still keeping eye contact. He folded his hands in front of him and nodded.
"Yes. It is."
This time it was her turn smirk and she leaned back in her chair. "It's very beautiful. I cried." The conversations were getting more awkward now and the tension was getting thick.
"I'm proud of you, Harry," she grabbed his hand and he looked deep into her eyes. He could have sworn he saw that flash of emotion she used to have when they were younger in love. "I really am. You're the most humble guy I've ever had the chance to date. Thank you for letting me into your life and showing me the real you."Harry smiled wider, the tension suddenly went down and he took hold of her hand, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles he looked down at it and sighed. He kept close attention on the small tattoo of a lightening bolt on her middle finger, the one that was so significant in the relationship they had had.
"The same exact things goes for you, sweetheart. I won't regret ever dating you." He cringed at how cliche that sounded but he meant it.They tenderly looked into each other's eyes, obviously in the next few hours it'll be on the headlines that they're dating again judging by the cameras that had captured them entering the cafe together.
"Well," Millie sighed and removed her hand reaching into her purse for her wallet. "I can pay for this." Harry shook his head. "Harry," she groaned slamming her wallet down, "you stubborn man, for once let me pay."
"I'm not letting you, put that back," he snickered pushing her wallet back. She groaned, rolling her eyes roughly and stuffing it back into her purse.
"I guess we'll see each other some other time?" She asked as they exited the small cafe putting on their sunglasses.
"Yeah, keep in touch, Millie. It was good talking to you again." Harry was polite enough to walk her to her car. They hugged and she kissed his cheek.
"See you around, H."
And at that moment, Harry had known he wouldn't ever find a girl like her again. And the worst part, he would never be able to have her again. This almost tore him apart when she waved goodbye from her car window, driving down the road that he knew he couldn't follow anymore.
