It'd been weeks since Emma had seen Amy and Mark and she was beginning to wonder what they were up to. Just as she pulled her laptop up into her lap, Google tossed a water bottle at her. She leaned to the side out of habit, letting it hit the pillow next to her. It was a habit she'd developed recently. He'd throw something and she'd dodge it. "You haven't left the bed all morning. Next, I'm throwing a lunchable and I don't plan on missing."

She stuck her tongue out at Google and nuzzled herself under the covers even further. "That's it." Google climbed onto her bed and pulled her up from under the covers. She gave a small smirk before dramatically falling backwards in his arms.

"Ah, you've bested me again." She sighed theatrically and threw a hand across her face. "Now that you've got me in your clutches, what is it you plan on doing with me?"

She sat up straight now, her arms around his shoulders. He thought about kissing her. She was so close. Her eyes watched him curiously, wondering what he planned on doing. He wrapped his arms around her and lifted her off the bed. She groaned as he carried her into their kitchen and set her on the counter by the fridge.

Amy had convinced Emma to move in with Google before she and Mark left. By the time they were gone, Emma had gotten all of her things moved out of her old apartment and into the spare bedroom of Google's apartment. Google had made it a point that her Oreos had to be mutually shared between them. When she refused, he locked her in the bathroom for several hours as he searched for them.

Fortunately for her, she'd hidden them under the sink in a small cubbie. It wasn't long before he'd finally given up and let her out to ask her to fetch them. She'd been caught red handed with cookie crumbs on her lips and a half empty box of oreos on the floor next to her. She had laughed so hard she hardly managed to sit upright.

Google stood at the stove now, cooking an omelete for her. He wore a simple blue t-shirt with a white 'G' on it. He'd already left the apartment several times to run arrands and yet he still wore sweatpants that said 'fabulous' on the back of them. Emma had bought them for him as a joke but he wore them as often as he could. That was his favorite outfit.

Emma, on the other hand, wore one of Google's old grey sweaters with an AT-AT doing laundry on it. It read: Laundromat-at. She may or may not have stolen it from him at first but he didn't seem to mind. Along with it she wore a pair of galaxy patterned leggings, her hair pulled up into a messy bun.

After a while of waiting, Emma was led to the kitchen table where Google put out a glass, napkin, silverware, and a plate on either side of the table. Once she was seated he darted to the fridge and brought back a jug of orange juice to fill both glasses. Not even a minute later he was back with a bowl of assorted sliced fruits.

Finally, he'd come out to the dining room with a plate. On it were two omeletes, both perfectly cooked. He pushed them onto each separate plate and slid the now empty plate under the fruit bowl. Emma was grateful for all the work he'd put into making breakfast for her. She only wished she was hungrier. The truth was, she wasn't ever hungry. Google was always on her about remembering to eat.

He sat down opposite her and began to eat his omelete. Quickly, he realised she was simply playing with his food and he dropped his fork. It startled her and she looked up at him, very confused. He sighed, shaking his head. "You need to eat something. I'm an android and even I have to eat from time to time. You're human. You will die if you don't eat."

"I can't help it." She lifted her ankle up and sat with it rested on her left thigh. Google watched over the table as she pulled up the hem of her leggings to reveal a grisly scar. It was a furious red, looking as if it had been burned into her skin. It was shaped like a 'D' in caligraphed font. Emma looked up at him. "He could read my thoughts, influence my actions, and stop me from eating and drinking and sleeping."

Google was silent for a long moment as he processed how it could be possible to influence another person's actions so drastically. He tried a websearch but only came up with curse, demon, and vampire crap that wasn't very helpful. "What is Dark?" He asked quietly.

"I don't know. He isn't an android and he certainly isn't human. I don't want to talk about him anymore." Her eyes drifted down to her plate full of food. She saw Google do another websearch out of the corner of her eyes. Dark's face had come up as he sifted through different webpages and articles and images.

Emma leaned across the table, putting a hand over his. She swiped away his interface and shook her head. "Absolutely not." She spoke sharply. If he did what she thought he would, he'd die before she could catch up to him. She needed him to stay put. "What happens, happens. There isn't anything you or I, even together, can do to change that. Don't get yourself hurt trying to defend something that happened in the past."

"Promise me, Google. Promise me you won't do something stupid for me. Please."

He sat silently for a moment, staring in the direction she'd swiped away his interface. When he refocused on her, his expression was blank. "I promise I won't do something stupid. I won't promise to overlook what Dark did to you."

He stood up and left without a goodbye, slamming the door behind him. She swore and shoved away from the table, running to her room and changing into jeans, the tank top she wore under her sweater, and running shoes.

By the time she'd made it outside, Google was far from sight. Fortunately, she'd been to Dark's house before. She ran that way, hoping to catch Google before he got himself into trouble.
