Chapter 10

Midterms passed in a blink of an eye — The examination as hard as always.

But you made sure to fail your Math exam so you couldn't totally qualify the principal's standards as 'passed'.

You didn't actually study with Karma yesterday. Instead, you played at the arcade because Korosensei taught you enough for the midterms.

Eat that, principal Asano.

You walked down to the path as you bid everyone your goodbyes. Clutching your report card, you excitedly ran home, excited for tomorrow's class.

"Hey, where's Y/n? She's usually early to class..."

"Maybe she's still sleeping…"

"This is weird. Maybe she really decided to go back to class A."

The thought of it made Karma sick in the stomach. And right after the midterms..., he thought.

Back at the arcade you told him that you were staying at Class E for as long as you wanted. But why? Why weren't you in your usual seat? Why isn't she teasing him early in the morning?

"Hey Karma, do you know where Y/n is? I mean, she's your girlfriend and all…"

Karma scrunched his eyebrows in concentration, walking out of the classroom towards the cliff you both shared a lot of memories before.

At the moment he arrived, his phone rang. He immediately answered it, only to be greeted by sniffles.

"Karma..."

"Y/n?! Where are you? I-I—"

"Karma, JUST LISTEN! And remember my words…"

He stopped and obeyed immediately.

"I am back to where I belong,
Was the thing I wanted so long.
Taken from my pride,
Please I'm not trying to hide
Help yourself by not going near...
Me and my heart are content here..."

Karna took note of your words inside his mind. Contemplating how painful it meant.

"Karma..."

"The first word always holds the key."

The sound of the phone call ending rang through Karma's ear. He felt pain through his chest as he let the thought of you leaving him again had crossed his mind.

But this time it wasn't just a thought.

It was real.

The class had started to become worried of their classmate, seeing that nobody told them what happened to her.

It was almost the start of class when Nakamura wandered to Y/n's desk.

She remembered the events after you immediately went home.

A guy approached her, wearing a businessman like outfit. He handed Nakamura a letter addressed to no one but instructed her to place it inside Y/n's desk.
