"I'm sorry, what?!" I broke in, "Brother?! You have a brother?! I've known who your brother is, but not who your brother is?!" I exclaimed, getting angry.
Ben just looked at me sheepishly and rubbed his neck.
"You have some explaining to do. I didn't even know you had a brother!"
"I'm not proud of this side of the family. And whenever possible, I don't tell people about them." he explained.
"I'll take that for now, but you're on thin ice, in hot water, you hear me, caught in a sticky si..." I said while pointing an accusing finger at him
"I understand." he cut me off laughing, earning a death glare from me.
"You two love birds done?" Richard asked in a monotone voice, while Chuck's face, a mix of disgust and boredom, contorted in the most unattractive way.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"What are you guys going to do?" I asked
"Like I said before, that's for me to know and you to not." Richard replied gesturing to himself and us with both hands.
And with that they left. I looked at Ben, the sheepish look hadn't left his face. I scoffed and turned away.
He came up behind me and, wrapping his arms around me, said, "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about my uncle or my brother.
"It irritates me that you always knew how to get back on my good side" I responded with a smile
"But you like that I always do." He said with a smirk.
" Don't push it." I said jokingly, "Would you care to explain everything to me now then?"
"Chuck is my twin. He's always had a dark side, always hated me, always tried to be better than me at everything. So far, the only thing good to come from him being my brother is that I met you. It probably kills him that you're dating me, he probably thought you'd end up with him. I asked him not to tell you we were brothers, but suspected that he would anyways. Guess he decided to be nice to me, for once."
"How did I not realize you guys were related?!" I asked completely shell-shocked.
"I don't know." he said shrugging
"I mean now that I think about it,, you two do look very much alike, but you seem older."
"Nope, I was the second one out."
I hummed, nodded my head, and pulled away from him and sat down. He sat next to me and I leaned my head against him and fell asleep.
