ELEVEN YEARS LATER
LUCIUS
I have no idea where Alex Bourne was kept before he came here. I still remember the day of his sentencing. His conviction was the subject of hot discussion around the prison. There has been a pair of death row cells in my humble abode in the psychiatric unit on C block.
Moving cells is a routinized kinda hobby for us guys. They move us because they don't want us to get too comfortable or attached to anything. I have been here for twelve years and i have moved five times within that. Alex's arrival was all of a great interest to all of us on C block which was a rarity in it itself.
There were six inmates on C block. Cell.1 housed Joey Live who was a pedophile. Cell 2 housed Callum who was a member of the Natro Brotherhood.Cell 3 was me, Lucius DuLetti. Four and five were empty. So Alex was definitely in either one of these cells but who would he be closer to. In the last three cells it was Tyron, Pogie Simmons and Crush who self entitled themselves as leaders of C block.
As Alex Bourne was escorted by six heavily armed guards we all came forward in our cells. He didn't look like what i thought a capital murderer would look like but in my eyes i didn't how they were supposed to look. He was short and slim with stylish hair that was combed through into an angled motion towards the left. He had sharp blue eyes and golden brown hair. He turned to me...
He was then encourage into the movement of the pathway into cell 4.
He was stumbling drearily across the widened path way into the cell next to mine. Bourne placed his wrists through the small gaps in between the cell into a sense of plead and desperation and the officer yanked the jangled cuffs off his wrists releasing some extent of freedom."Yo walking dead." cried Crush.
"Just give him at least five minutes to take a breather of this new air and give him a break will ya." I said
"Ooooooh Lucius has got a new man in his life, ya already shanking up to this new deathbed just like your other gay partners at the bottom of the ground dug up five feet." replied Crush attempting to get his followers to laugh with him. Eventually the forceful laugh faded away and a gentle stillness and swiftness caught the new sense of atmosphere within this block. Some of us, except for crush and followers, didn't belong to this block especially me because them guards thought i was crazy and ranting on about some superstition but I'm telling ya ain't nobody gonna tell anybody what happened that night.
