NB: A slur is used toward the end, I know some people get rather upset about it so just take care please.

Also if I was to post a new story that was nothing to do with this, would you guys be interested or nah (lemme know!)

"I promise you planned this just to avoid me," Brendon's voice whined into the phone.

"Yes, I went back in time and changed the date my father was born on just to avoid you," I laughed.

"See? I fucking knew it."

"Relax, I get back in a couple days. I'll see you then."

"Well I had a big announcement planned," Brendon sighed, "and now that you've gone, I have to wait to tell everyone."

"Tell me now then," I suggested.

"What over the phone? No thanks, I want an audience."

"Well then it's not my fault that you're such a drama queen," I said.

"Why did I miss you? You're an asshole."

"You know you love meee."

Just as I said that, the door opened and Vic walked in with a questioning smile on his face. I rolled my eyes but held my arms out to him, keeping the phone pressed between my shoulder and ear.

This was the first time I'd seen him all day, since he'd left unreasonably early this morning to go to work. He grinned, sliding into bed next to me and placing a quick kiss on my cheek.

"Listen, I have to go," I told my best friend. "I'll call later."

Brendon whined a bit more but then finally hung the phone up.

"Should I be worried?" Vic laughed.

"It's Brendon," I said to him.

"Oh right, the one who smokes?"

"Yeah him," I said, angling my face toward Vic. Vic took the hint and kissed me properly, putting his hand on my cheek.

"So, how was work?" I asked him. He looked exhausted and slumped into me as I said the words.

"We have a situation," he sighed.

"What happened?" I asked, running my hand through his hair.

"Remember Mikey?" He sighed.

"You mean Pete's supposedly dead boyfriend?" I asked.

"He's not dead," Vic corrected me, "remember? Pete just told you that to scare you."

I briefly remembered the encounter of when I'd met the true side of Pete after he'd broken into my house and tried to beat me up.

"Right yes, Mikey," I said slowly. "Continue."

"Mikey Way," Vic sighed.

"Wait as in-"

"Gerard Way's long lost brother," Vic finished.

"Wait you're fucking joking," I said, shocked. "But then are you guys going to arrest him?"

"What? No," Vic replied. "He has nothing to do with what Gerard actually does. They haven't spoken in years actually. Mikey found out that we were going for him though and told us their relation."
