"Stay behind me," Vic told me in a warning tone but there was a glint in his eye. I could have laughed at how excited this boy was to absolutely annihilate these two assholes.

"Yes because I'm so keen on getting my skinny ass involved in that," I said, stepping back as I spoke. "The floor is all yours, darling."

"Oh that's enough to make me sick," one of the boys said, purposely gagging as he spoke.

"Can we just sort these two freaks out so that I don't have to sit here and look at 'em?" The bigger one said. His words made me swallow uneasily.

I'd forgotten at how harsh the rest of the world was and how they viewed my relationship with a boy as something unacceptable. I had only surrounded myself with such good energy from my friends that I'd even forgotten that some people just weren't so open. I wondered on which side of the spectrum my parents would fall on when I inevitably told them.

"Come on then," Vic challenged, rolling his shoulders back as he prepared to fight. I wasn't worried about him. Maybe some deep part of me should have been, but I knew that Vic could easily break them apart. And since he was technically protecting me here - he definitely would.

The two boys wasted no time in taking Vic up on his challenge, their smirks quickly changing to snarls at the drop of a hat. The first one tried to rush him but Vic easily used his momentum against him, bending down and grabbing his waist. He lifted the boy clean off the floor, twisted him around and threw him back on the ground, hard.

I licked another stripe around the base of the ice cream cone, watching more in awe of my boyfriend than anything else. Vic was fucking amazing and he was being amazing so effortlessly.

The second boy blinked at his friend who was giving a low groan on the floor and glared at Vic.
He ran at Vic then, his arm raised in an attempt to give off a sloppy punch.

Vic grabbed the raised arm and landed a punch of his own, his fist connecting with the other boy's face in a crunch.

The boy stumbled back, clutching at his nose which had erupted in a brilliant crimson flow. He opened his mouth to swear Vic, spitting out the blood that had trickled into it as he spoke.

Vic stood, patiently and nonchalantly waiting for the other boy to make a move. The other boy saw Vic's uncaring attitude as an insult, rushing back to him again.

He raised his fist to give another punch but Vic dodged it easily, grabbing his arm instead and yanking the boy around. He twisted his arm behind his back and the boy crumpled to his knees immediately, giving off a high-pitched shriek at the pressure being applied to his arm.

"Are you going to leave us alone now?" Vic asked in a low, menacing tone. It sent a shiver down my spine making me pause in my grip. I know Vic was putting on his bad-boy demeanor in order to intimidate the two boys but really all it was was hot.

And then I felt a sharp point pressing into my side and I had to turn to see the other boy's demented grin. He had the blade of a knife pressed into my body - though the idiot wasn't placing it anywhere fatal. I stopped licking the ice cream just to be safe though.

"Uh, Vic," I said, "problem."

My gorgeous boyfriend turned around then, taking in the situation. He was still holding the other boy's arm but now raked over me with concerned, fierce eyes.
