*next day at 3 p.m. at Shay's place.

"ASHLEY OMG I FORGOT MY DATE"

Ashley looked shocked, "which date?"

"The one with Lucas! Oh I forgot to tell you did I?"

"Yes Shannon? What date? When date? Where date?"

Shay called Lucas and begged him to forgive her.

"Please Lucas, I, there where stuff that came in my way."

Lucas didn't answer at first.
"Other stuff? Like what?"

"Omg yesterday? When we went to the movies? You kidding me?"
Ashley whispered a bit to loud.

"Oh, I get it", Lucas said mad.

"Lucas.."

"No it's fine, I get it. You can go to prom with her too. I don't mind."

Shay looked at Ashley with tears in her eyes.
Then Lucas hang up.
Shay sat there in her bed and just looked at the wall.
Ashley sat right beside of her and held her hand. They didn't talk or anything, they just sat there. Then Shay turned around and kissed her.
She kissed her back.
They kept going and didn't notice Shay's mom in the hallway.

"What is this Shay? Ashley please just go, I and Shay need to talk."

Shay pushed away Ashley.
"Mom it's not like you thi.."

"I'm, bye.." Ashley walked out of the room with red cheeks and tears in her eyes.

"Shay what is this? Why did you kiss her?"

Shay looked at her mom.
"Please, not now. Please I'm begging you."

She looked at Shay and said,
"No, you know what, I can't do this now either."
Her mom cried quietly and walked out of Shay's room.

Shay tried to call Ashley but she didn't answer.
She fell into the bed and cried. She thought about how this change was gon' change her life forever. How was dad gonna react. How was her friends gonna react. And what was gonna happen between her and her mom.
But most important, what did Ashley think about the kiss. Why didn't she answer? Why did she kiss her back?
