Dragon Princess (Under Editing)

Why did it have to end like this...

A/N: Yes yes I know FINALLY I POSTED SOMETHING, I hope you enjoy and after you read please read the note at the end, thank you and enjoy...

Previously:
     "NO! You can't be, because then that means the promise I made to keep you safe at all times, I broke it! And I love you to much for this to have happened! This has to be a dream this can't be real!" Soon everyone else in the guild could see this person Natsu was talking to, and they all began to cry, "But Natsu... this is real."

Now:

Normal POV:
"B-But if, but if you are real, then that means..." Natsu started but soon was cut off."It was the only way, I kept Monocal locked up in me for all these years, that was no way to live. Even with all my powers I wouldn't be able to keep it locked up, when I die my powers will fade away with me, meaning that the seal I put would break and Monocal will escape. It would have taken thousands maybe even millions of years before that happened, but I didn't want to live in complete darkness with that demon in my head. I used a spell my mother taught me, a forgotten spell, a myth even. And I destroyed my being, along with the being inside of me. I wouldn't want to die knowing that at some point Monocal could escape that pit again and destroy everything I've tried so hard to protect, I wouldn't let that happen. I called for the angels in heaven, I asked for them to guide me to lend me their powers so I can complete the task. In return of destroying Monocal they let me have one wish." At this point everyone in the guild was in tears, they couldn't control or stop themselves, for they have seen the light in there guild, go out. They couldn't believe what she was saying, they didn't want to believe it. But they had no choice, because this was her choice, her path, and maybe even her destiny. Natsu soon spoke up, "One wish huh, well why don't you use it to come back with us, to your family... to me." He said the last part low, as if he didn't want anyone to hear him, but they did, they all heard how his heart broke with every word he said. "Natsu, I love you more then you can imagine, and if I could, I would wish to come back here in a second, just to be with all of you, just to feel you near me. But sadly, the way of life, the way of living and dying, won't allow that. I asked already a thousand times if I could come back, just to walk through those doors and act like nothing ever happened. To see you all smiling to be with you while your all smiling, but I can't, because what dies, should stay. Me coming back to this world, coming back and acting like nothing ever happened, would throw the world off balance, it could destroy me as a person." Soon Lucy had tears falling from her eyes, she could feel herself dying all over again while she stared into the love of her life's lifeless eyes as she told him she could never come back. "That's, that's not fair, what am I suppose to do without you? Huh? How am I suppose to move on knowing I can't wake up with your strawberry vanilla sent next to me, or filling up this stupid place huh?! HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO LIVE HAPPILY EVERY AFTER WITH THE LOVE OF MY LIFE IF SHES DEAD HUH?! HOW IS THAT FAIR TO ME, TO THE GUILD, HUH?" At this point Natsu was on he ground screaming and crying, he was broken, "H-how, a-am I, suppose to l-live, knowing I l-let you d-d-die?" He whispered, soon he felt a soft hand on his cheek, wiping away his tears, "I suppose you can't, but I need to to, for my sake, because when I look down on you to see how you are doing, I want to see a happy smiling Natsu, the crazy funny silly Natsu I've come to know and love. It's going to be hard, but don't you ever for a second think that you were the reason for my death, this was my destiny, this is what I was born to do, I'll still be with you here-" she pointed to his chest, "-and here-" she pointed to his heart, "so don't ever think you lost me, because you can't get rid of me that easily, and soon in the future when it's your time, we will see each other again." Soon Natsu was smiling, he still had tears falling from his face, but he was smiling, "Yea, and then maybe we can be together." Soon they were both smiling at each other. Lucy looked at her guild mates, and smiled, "I'm going to miss you all, and I love you all, but I must go now, until we meet again." She was about to pull away but then stopped herself, "Oh and Natsu," she turned to him and gave him a kiss, they shared it for what seemed like forever but in reality was only for a minute, "We will meet again, in another life." She whispered to him, "Promise?" He said shakily, still smiling and holding her close to him, "Promise." Was all she said back, she rested her forehead against his and they bother let silent tears escape, holding tightly onto each other, but soon Natsu felt her thinning, and when he opened his eyes he saw her disappearing, and soon... she was gone. The whole guild was silent, you could hear a pin drop, but it wasn't sad silence; it was happy silence, because they got closure, they got to see their light one more time, and now they know she's up in the heavens watching down upon them all, making sure she sees their smiles and joyfulness, and one thing was for sure, Natsu was going to make sure she hold up her promise. But there was one thing Natsu and the guild didn't know, they would meet there little ball of light again, and they will be united, in another world, another time, another place. When this will happen, well no one really knows that, how it will happen, that's up to fate, but it will happen, and everything will be right with that world.

Well, I hope this chapter was worth the wait, I tried to make it extra long, and I hope I have you thinking about what's to come, cause I'm planning something big. It's been months since I posted and I'm truly sorry, but I hope this was up to your expectations. I have an idea for the next chapter, I might post a sample later on today to see how you all like it, and if I do post it I would really hope, like, and appreciate it if you comment any suggestions or feed back you have on it, but that's for later on today, for now this is the end... or is it? You won't know unless you stay tuned, and as always... until next time........................... man I missed doing that.
