Charles entered the kitchen as quickly and quietly as possible. He looked around, and when he saw the coast was clear, he let out a sigh of relief. Hope nobody comes in He thought to himself as he took out the ingredients for his plate.

While stirring the ingredients in a small pot, he heard someone come into the kitchen. He quickly stepped away from the pot and pretended to be doing something else. He saw that it was Erik who came in and his first though was Oh no, how am I going to keep cooking without him knowing?! He was so lost in his panic thoughts that he didn't notice Erik getting closer and tapping his shoulder.
"Charles?" Asked Erik "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I was just...um, lost in my thoughts while I wait." Answered Charles
"While you wait for what?" Asked Erik
Oh dear, did I give away too much? What do I do!? Charles thought to himself. He decided to go to the fridge and get a bottle of water to calm his nerves, but it wasn't working. Erik noticed and could smell the cooking pot so he walked over to it. The closer he was to the pot, the more nervous Charles became.
"Are you cooking this?" Asked Erik
"No--no, this is...um..." Charles was trying hard to think of someone who was responsible for this. "This is Jean's actually, yeah. She sent me a telepathic message to look for her...pot and here I am."
"Do you even know what it's?" Asked Erik
"It's Chi--Actually I don't know." Answered Charles quickly and took a big sip of water
"Great, now I forgot what I was here for." Said Erik looking around "Oh yeah! I was going to make me a sandwich for the lunch we're having in the garden."
"Y'know, now that I think about it it's kinda weird." Said Charles, trying to calm himself down and make some conversation while Erik was making his sandwich.
"What?" Said Erik as he reached into the fridge for some cheese and ham.
"3 guys going to the garden to have lunch and play a game that's kind of like Truth or Dare." Said Charles. He was now feeling more comfortable to go back to the pot and keep stirring it's contents.
"Well I mean, it's not that weird. But I understand your doubt and concern." Said Erik. His sandwich was ready and he was about to leave when Charles called him.
"Hey Erik," Said Charles "could you bring some milk, for the lunch?"
"Yeah, sure." Said Erik as he started walking out of the kitchen.Charles let out a powerful sigh of relief when he was gone. That was close! He thought to himself. By the time he stopped panicking and started breathing normally again, the food was ready.
