5 more days until her deguno, Rubens thought as she devoured her breakfast. She was eating with her only friend on all of Orba, Janet. Due to her snappy attitude Rubens never really had any friends, except Janet. Janet had already taken her deguno and passed with a score of 200. She was given rose gold status, and she now worked as a teacher. Her job was not half bad, but Rubens was going to get better. She was currently staying over at Janet's house, under normal circumstances the police of Orba wouldn't allow this, but since her deguno was coming up she was allowed one experience. An experience was a two day sleepover type thing, at a person who had already taken their deguno's house. The purpose of an experience was to learn from them, but so far Rubens had learned nothing.

"So are you scared for your deguno?" Janet asked. Ugh, Rubens thought, sometimes Janet could be so annoying. Of course she was scared! Not wanting to be rude, something Rubens rarely wanted, she answered "yeah obviously". The tone she used was probably kind of rude, because when she replied Janet stayed quiet for a long time.

Twirling her bright scarlet hair on hair fingers, Rubnes waited for the awkwardness to pass. Finally when Janet said something again, she seemed back to normal. Honestly sometimes this girl was too much.

"I'm getting late for work, don't worry I'll be back soon though then we can go over some deguno stuff, sounds good?"

She wanted to say that she probably wouldn't learn anything, but she murmured "sure" instead. When Janet left, she cleared her plate and went upstairs to work on her homework. You would think that with the impending deguno the teachers would lessen up on the homework, but no, instead they got even more for some reason.

After trying to solve some stupid math problems, she got bored and decided to take a walk around Rose Gold district. Walking around in the rose gold drenched city, made her sick. Everything possible was rose gold, from the cars to peoples clothes, everything was drenched in it. It was gross, how could you not get sick of one colour? Well, she thought any colour except red of course; red was her all-time favourite colour, her signature colour as Janet liked to put it. After getting a couple of curious stares from passing by pedestrians, she decided it was time to go back inside. When she reached Janet's house, she paused to take in the rose goldness. The house itself was quite simple, if you forgot all the rose gold that surrounded it. The bricks were painted rose gold, the roof was also rose gold but a darker shade, the pine trees surrounding the house were of course rose gold but a very light shade of it. Having enough of it she went inside, planning to take a shower and crash in bed.
