"(y/n)," a voice spoke from behind the girl who stood at the window where the warm light of the afternoon sun that poured through the glass pane illuminated the room brighter than the fluorescent lights did.
upon hearing her name, she turned around, her (e/c) eyes lighting up with joy when she saw the familiar figure of her boyfriend.
"keiji." she smiled and wrapped her arms around him in a short hug before pulling him in for a kiss.
"i brought you something." he mumbled softly against her lips, feeling the smile that stretched across her face once more.
"hm? what is it?"
he shyly held out a small bundle of lilacs, the lavender hue reminding her of a sunset. "i-i've never been the best at expressing my feelings or describing my thoughts through words so i'm giving you flowers that help convey them for me."
her heart palpitated, racing in her chest and pounding against her sternum at his statement. "thank you." (y/n) smiled yet again as she accepted the violet lilacs.
she noticed a thin gold thread wrapped around the stems which was attached to a small notecard with a small, handwritten message that stole her breath once she read it.
