I grabbed Seunghyun's hand and he pulled me onto the ride. We sat across from each other. Seunghyun smiled and popped a clump of cotton candy into his mouth. Chuckling, I did the same. We sat in silence as the capsule moved upwards. I stared out looking over the fair and thoughts started flooding in.
It doesn't seem my brain understands how lucky I am right now. I'm living with the kpop boy group BigBang, and I'm actually their family now. I won't have to suffer on the streets anymore. I actually have a roof over my head now. There's always food. I'm living the best life out there. I wonder how my parents are...
Why did Jiyong help me? I'm sure he's seen plenty of other people getting mugged. But why save me?
How do I help other people that lived like I used to? I can't just go out and provide homes. I can't just take random strangers in. I'm definitely not going to let them live in pain like that. And my age is an issue.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when Seunghyun got up.
"Aish! Sit back down! We're going to tip it!" I panicked.
"No we won't," he reassured and plopped next to me.
"Sit down gentler! This might break!"
"You're fine Mia!"
"Okay whatever," I said and looked back out. I was returning to my thoughts when I felt arms wrap around me.
"Mia-ah, is there something you want to talk about?" I sighed.
"Why did Jiyong save me? I mean, I'm sure he's seen so many people get mugged, but why save me and take me in?"
"I don't know honestly. Maybe its because you're a young female. And you're American. He probably didn't think you understood what they were saying. Plus, you're so cuuuuuute!" I cooed and suddenly grabbed my cheeks again.
"Oppa~!" I whined. He laughed and let go, wrapping his arms back around me. I leaned back on his chest and listened to his heart beat. He must know me well already. Somehow, he knew I was upset. And he knew how to calm me down too. I closed my eyes as he pet my hair.
"I promise I'll be by your side for the rest if my life. No matter what happens. I love you Mia-ah~" he cooed.
"Love you too, Oppa," I responded smiling weakly.
