Chapter 6

I was determined to get Paxton over me if it was the last thing I'd do. He broke my heart and hurt me more than I'd ever been hurt before and anyway I was in love with Jordan now. I wanted to marry him and to know that he feels the same why for me is wonderful. Paxton was the first to speak "Anna I want you to know that I'm sorry for the way things end between us." "You hurt me Paxton I did like you but after you broke up with me over a text message.....I don't think you will ever be the same person to me again." I said coldly. "Why are you back anyway?" Jordan said harshly. I could tell that he was mad and it hurt me to see him this way. "I'm back because I needed to sort things out with Anna. I don't expect you to take me back but I would appreciate it if you would consider still being friends?" He said trying to sound somewhat hopeful. "You waited over a year to sort things out with me." I said " I don't think we can ever be best friends again but maybe with time I will heal and you will relies the pain you put me through." Jordan was sitting next to me and saw him let out a breath that I didn't know he was holding in but I could tell that he was relieved that this was over know. I was about in tears when Jordan put his arms around me cradled me like a baby. I instantly felt safe and loved once again by the man I knew would never hurt me. "I'm sorry....I really am" Paxton said trying not to get too jealous. Jordan spoke up then "You should think before you act next time." Paxton just nodded and looked down then changing the subject said. "How did you guys meet anyway?" Jordan was still holding me lovingly in his arms when he replied "We meet at Anna's cousins wedding. She was the maid of honor and I was the best friend of the groom and the groomsmen." I could tell that Paxton was uncomfortable with our affection but I didn't care. I love Jordan and that would never change. "Well I should really get going." Paxton said "I really hope you two are happy with each other. You deserve it Anna." Thanks was all I could say and with that Paxton Guse was out of my life for good.
