The day that I've feared the most comes. I don't expect it to come this fast. But it does.

The sun shines so bright today that I have to cover my eyes just to see clearly. Gosh. What's wrong with you guys today? Can't you treat me better today? Seriously?

I take a look at the watch that wrapped around my wrist. Ugh. I'm so close to come late. Everything's wrong today!

I speed up my pace and cross the street on zebra-cross. I walk pass the junior high building to get to the senior high building. I do this everyday. But today is different. Different how?

For starter, today I'm going to join my first Maths Olympiad. I mean, seriously? I have no idea this is happening. Second, there's this Callahan guy who's going to accompany me.

How's that not different, everybodeh?

Okay, pardon me.

You must be thinking who this guy is... right?

Okay, let me take you to the day before.

I was editing our presentation slides when Aileen came. She was all cheery and everything. She sat facing me and played with her cellphone.

It was so hot that sweat began to moisten my body. With one quick movement of my hand, I wiped the sweat that would fall from under my chin with the back of my hand. How annoying.

"You know, I ship you with Callahan," Aileen suddenly said. "Hard."

Her words struck me and punched my stomach. I looked up from my laptop screen and found her with fangirling expression all over her.

"What?" I ask. Maybe I misheard. Maybe I just heard things. You know, schizophrenia.

"I ship you both!" she said cheerfully.

Okay, this time I was sure I didn't mishear.

"You know, he has never fallen for a girl," she started her fanfiction.

"You mean, he's a gay?" I ask, rolling my eyes.

"What? No!" she protested as if she was an actual fan trying to defend her idol.

But alas, my comment did not stop her from continuing to write her fanfiction. Too bad. Too bad because I stopped editing our slides which dued tomorrow. And... too bad because her fanfiction was too good to be true.

"So, I asked him what his type was," she continued. "He said intelligence."

She took a deep breath.
