(Reader's pov)

Its been several weeks since they got back to the city, having given burials to those that they knew, they had been held up in a house that didn't burn but the owner had died during the fight. Walt, Jasper, and Marcus healed fast but Shaggy was healing slower, he has woken up off and on mostly from night terrors though they didn't just happen at night. His wounds were healing fine but something was wrong he couldn't stay awake, he couldn't eat or drink, (the others had to force him) he also had a constant fever. Alexandria and Misato got the supplies and helped heal Shaggy more, but Chinatsu never left Shaggy's side.

Since the explosion, it has been snowing almost every day, not just snow but ash as well. Alexandria had big plans today to try to go to Wathorn, another city fast East from here, Marcus left the day before to go to his home town, Jasper left weeks ago to find Rosalie at Moresta, Misato was there to stay with Chinatsu and Shaggy though she did write letters to her husband, Benji went with Jasper to look after him, Today is a snowy day, a dark snowy day.

(Misato's pov)

She can see the snow/ash coming down hard out the window, sitting across the room from Shaggy and Chinatsu. Looking at Chinatsu she wonders why Chinatsu was so worried about Shaggy, yea he saved them but this is more than gratitude she would have left long ago if she wasn't staying for Chinatsu. Sighing she looks back out the window, she can see people walking around still rebuilding the city. Walt was in charge of that, at least that's how the queen had put it when she came down from her prissy little throne, she shakes her head, they had to hide Shaggy from the guards since she was the one who wanted him dead. Getting up she heads for the door, "I'm going out to get stuff I'll be back soon ok Chinatsu?" She says looking at Chinatsu, after getting no reply she heads downstairs and out the front door into the snow. She didn't really have a plan in mind of where to go just as long as her feet took her somewhere else.

Walking for a long time, hours maybe before she realizes she is freezing and from the looks of it very lost. She starts walking down back streets hoping to see something familiar but the snow and ash are making it very difficult at almost 6 inches deep, after a few turns she notices it's getting dark, walking faster she starts worrying trying to figure out where she was. While walking she gets a weird feeling someone's watching her, looking back she can see a hooded figure the size of a man walking behind her, walking even faster she begins to jog but as she looks back she can tell she's not losing the man, she begins to take turns left, right, right, left, left, but she can't seem to lose him. Turning around she goes to shout but feels a sharp pain in her stomach, looking down she sees a tranquilizer dart in her stomach, "Oh hell no," she falls back into the ground beginning to black out she can feel herself be dragged away then nothing but darkness.

(Shaggy's pov)

Walking through a dark snowy pass all he can feel is the cold of the snow, all he can hear is the harsh wind. He continues down the path unsure what he is looking for, coming to a turn the ground begins to crumble from under him reaching for anything to grab finding nothing he falls with the ruble into the darkness, falling for what seems like an eternity he just stays still relaxing his body ready for what's to come, his body begins to turn so now facing down he still can see only darkness. Closing his eyes he sees Alixia's face then Walt's face, Jasper's, Alexandria's, then Chinatsu's but her face stays he can see her smiling at his dumb joke from before, he can hear her voice faintly, "Shaggy come back to us, come back to me."

Getting clearer and louder each time she says it. He opens his eyes to see the ground coming up fast, smiling he hits the ground. Bolting up from the bed he is covered in sweat, checking his body, chest, arms, face, ears, tail realizing he is ok he laughs. Standing up he goes to the window seeing the snow he sees a grey tint to some of the snow. Looking down seeing the wounds healing on his chest and stomach he groans, hearing footsteps on the stairs he turns to face the door.
