White was swirling all around, clouding your vision in a vortex of uncertainty. Where the hell are you? The thick amounts of snow covered everything, stinging your cold cheeks and making your fingers stiff. The only thing racing in your frozen mind was shelter, but the idea was too far fetched in these conditions.
In a matter of seconds, the icy world around you paused and you stoped in surprise. "Hello...?" Your voice echoed throughout the white cavern, but no answer was returned. You trudged along in the frozen world, spotting something in the distance. A sense of happiness filled you as you picked up the pace.
The figure emerged into the shape of a troll, also caught in the time freeze, but in her case it was for the better. Your stomach twisted into a fit as you gawked at her entrails pouring out from a slit open stomach and painting the snow a murky red. Her glossy eyes were fear stricken as one of her hands failed to keep her organs inside, while the other was out-stretched towards you. The sickening scene was almost enough to make you hurl, but you kept your composure and backed away from the low blood. Her fate was sealed, and you couldn't help her.
Your eyes trailed to the blood in the snow, seemingly still pouring out of the trolls wound. Why was this the only thing not frozen? You kneeled down and dipped your fingers into the blood. "Still warm..." You whispered to yourself.
The blood trailed down to the palm of your hand and started to spread, engulfing your grey skin. You shrieked, trying to wipe it off, but no avail. The color spread everywhere, even the snow itself was all turning that terrifying color. Within seconds, the snowy white world was no longer there, making you too frightened to move.
The frozen world flickered to life and all you could hear was the agonizing screams coming from the troll girl. You rushed to her aid, but she went right through you like a hologram. "H-Help me please, anyone!" Her panicked voice echoed, tears streaming down her grey features. You felt hopeless, unable to help her, but something kept telling you it was your duty. With every failed attempt in making real contact, every face plant in the snow, the only thing you could do was watch as she bled out in the cold.
The troll stumbled forward onto her knees and one hand into the reddened snow. "Help... Me..." It's taking breaths now for her to speak, slowly losing her life force. You sat in the snow beside her, wiping your tears and staring at the scene unfolding. She started wheezing and choking for breaths, her eyes meeting yours in her last moments. You couldn't help but to stare back, knowing she couldn't see you directly. A few more breaths pass before she collapsed into the snow, unmoving.
You have no idea why, but your emotions imploded itself with grief and longing. The low blood you hardly recognize, hit you full force with a brick of cemented agony. What happened to her? Who injured her so? The confusing and cloudy scenario drifted off, snow barricading the murder like a shield and you left wandering the unknown.
...
Like a routine, you jolted awake in a sweaty, confused mess. You gave a sigh as you wiped your drenched forehead and sat up on the creaky matress. Your hands cupped your face, trying to remember what the troll girl looked like, but no avail. Who was she and why were you dreaming of her horrific demise in such detail? The length and complexity of these nightmarish dreams are making you uneasy to say the least.
"Why, good morning sunshine!" An unattractive voice spoke, scaring you half off the bed. You made a quick discovery of a certain 'female woof-beast' having an unpleasant and startling presence in your sleeping chambers.
You gaped at her for an uncomfortable amount of time before standing up and confronting her angrily. "What the actual hell are you doing in my block, Serket?!"
