*Authors Note*- So I got some messages telling me to be more descriptive in what I write so get ready for a long ass chapter! I usually dont describe situations too much because I tend to make it boring. But I'll give it a go! And I would love it if people would comment on my writing because I want to know if its worth it to keep writing or just stop completely. I'd really appreciate that :d

"Kate? Someone is waiting on the phone for you."
I looked at Chris and raised my eyebrow in a question. No ones ever called me at work, maybe its Nana or Popi. I wiped my hands on my apron and walked to the work phone.
I cleared my throat, "Hello?"
"Kate! Hey, how's it goin?" I widened my eyes and my mouth dropped slightly. How did Xander know where I worked, and why was he calling now? We were in the middle of a dinner rush! "Xander, I can't really talk right now. I'm busy, and how did you know I worked here?"
He chuckled and I blushed a little, damnit why did his voice have to sound like a smooth tremulous caress? Whoa! Don't get ahead of yourself idiot, I said to myself. I hardly know him. "Actually Kate, I wanted to know if you had room for a couple more people. My friends and I just wanted to hang out tonight."
"Oh, well yeah of course! A party just left so if you hurry we can seat you right away." Even if I didn't really want him to see me at work, looking all sweaty and tired I was still obligated to never turn away a customer.
"Great! We'll be there in a few! See you soon Kate!"
I couldn't help but grin at his enthusiasm. He was acting like the optimistic person I knew when I first met him. "Alright, bye." I went back to work, seating customers, taking their orders and bringing it to them. I had to admit even though working, as a waitress wasn't exactly my dream job I did like how fit it kept me. It might not seem like a lot of work, but when you're on your feet all day carrying around five plates piled high with pasta you learn how to keep up. I handed my customers their pasta with ease, knowing which pasta went to who. I asked them how they were doing and made small talk.
I wasn't always like that. I use to snap at my customers and get horrible tips. I never meant it but I had all this pent up anger because of my parents. But I slowly learned how to control it, and maybe even forget about it because I depended on my tips because they paid the bills and kept Isaac as happy as possible. I suddenly realized that I haven't seen Xander yet and was just about to make my rounds to see if he arrived yet, and sure enough I saw him walking through the door scanning his eyes through the restaurant. His eyes stopped on me and slowly traveled down the length of me and he gave me one of his sly grins. I blushed on spot and walked up to him to seat him and his guest.
"Hey Kate, you look cute in your work clothes." he checked me out again and I rolled my eyes. I had on a black shirt that had Angelo Pietro labeled across my left breast, and a black pants that, I admit, were a little tight around my ass. I looked behind him and realized that his friends were the ones that I saw at the bon fire a couple of days ago. I smiled at all of them and called out a greeting. They all said hi back and I led them to their table.
As I turned around to get a couple of extra desert menus a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and hugged me from behind. I couldn't help it, I loved the way that my body molded against his body so well, was this even possible? I blushed self-consciously and turned around. I know I didn't look my best. I had my hair back in a messy ponytail, sweat plastered to my face from pacing around taking orders and working my ass off for a little over minimum wage. I'm sure whatever make up I had on got wiped off from all my sweat. I winced as I thought of what I must look like right now, how could Xander even look at me, let alone hug me? "Did you need something Xander?" I asked, trying to look pleasant and not like I was just picturing us together.
