Jealous - Kuroken

Loud purrs filled the small room as Kenma sat complacently on the carpet, running his small hands over the tiny body of the black cat in front of him. His golden eyes that so resembled the cat rolling around in front of him were intently focused on the task at hand. Careful fingers tickled under its chin and moved around its ears, the cat's eyes reduced to slits, reveling in the attention that Kenma was giving it.

Kuroo, however, was a different story.

Kuroo sat in the corner.

A mop of messy black hair similar to the cat's was just visible in the corner of the bedroom, hiding his eyes from sight. His mouth was fixed in a sullen frown, tapping his fingers impatiently against his leg. A frustrated sigh escaped from his lips while his line of sight traveled around the room, landing once again on Kenma stroking Kuroo's own cat.

"Betrayal..." he muttered under his breath.

Kenma turned his head at Kuroo's words.

"Hm?" he questioned, his eyebrows moving upwards in question.

"Nothing." Kuroo swung his head away bitterly.

"Okay." Kenma returned his eyes to the cat, rubbing its stomach as it rolled around joyously on the carpet.

A short time passed where the only sounds being made were by the cat, the rest of the bedroom in eerie silence.

"Kuroo?" Kenma said, breaking the quiet.

"What?" he snarled.

"Are you jealous of your cat?" Kenma asked, without a trace of laughter in his words.

Kuroo's eyes flung wide open for a split second, but he quickly covered up his surprise and resumed his downcast persona.

"What?! No. Who would be jealous of a cat? That's stupid." he spat, his brow furrowed with spite.

Another few moments of silence passed.

"You know, it's not like I would leave you for your cat or anything. I much prefer you." Kenma murmured quietly, still dragging his fingers gently through the black fur.

Kuroo sat in the corner.

A smile creeping onto his face.

"Kuroo, you remind me of Bokuto sometimes."
