Mitch didn't sleep that night, he kept waking up to nightmares about Scott dying. He refused to let himself go to sleep after that, the images now haunting him as he lead the others. And Kevin and Avi noticed.
Kevin walked up to Mitch and put his hand on his shoulder gently, "Mitch, we need to stop right now. You need your rest, you'll get sick and you won't be strong enough to rescue Scott." He said softly.
"What if whoever took him killed him, Kevin?" Mitch asked nervously. "He'll be alive." Kevin assured. "I should have marked him. This wouldn't be happening and we'd have him by now if I did." Mitch sighed. "If you marked him when we got him you know he wouldn't have been okay." Kevin argued. "But I'd be able to feel how he feels and know if he's still alive." Mitch argued worriedly. "He is alive. Mitch, we will find Scott, and when we do we will take him back and you two can work all of this out." Kevin assured. "What if he blames me?" Mitch asked. "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Until then, we will continue to search for him until he is safe in your arms." Kevin promised.
