The warm air whips around our bodies, sloshing around in our pool. The water catapults its way out and onto the cement surrounding the enclosure.

I whip my head back to face my husband. "Adam baby!" I shout, lunging out of the water onto him.

My weight pushes him downwards as the space in the water collapses inward. I snicker to myself as I look at my accomplishment.

Another body slams against mine, my bare back slapped by hard skin. I crash into the chlorine water, being pushed down with my husband.

I surface grumpily as I glare at Daisy, my first born. Her 16 year old face grins sheepishly as she dives into the blue liquid. Her feet and arms bring her farther away from me, finally appearing at the far end of the pool.

"You little!" I stop myself from cursing, having my three year old around. She sits on the side, under the shade of an oak tree that was planted  long ago. She giggles, throwing one of her toys into the pool.

I dive into the water like a dolphin, mimicking the same movements.

I finally reach Daisy, pulling her legs down into the water. I plunge into the water along with her as I prop my eyes open. Her chestnut hair swishes around in the water only Ariel the Little Mermaid could pull off so gracefully.

What can I say? I have a two daughters. Watching old Disney movies are a mom thing for me now.

"Sorrel!" Daisy calls out to her brother as she resurfaces. He's a year younger than her, but just from his looks: he shows a strong resemblance to Adam. He turns his head to face her, putting down his phone. "What?" he groans, shifting his body to a sitting position.

"Help a sibling out here!" I whip my head back to face her, planting my hands on her shoulders. She looks at me quizzically, trying to read my expression.

I give her a small smile/smirk, moving a piece of wet hair away from her face. "We all know I love you Daisy... but I'm not going down like this." Her eyes widen as I shift all my weight into my palms, pushing her deep down into the water.

I hear a muffled, "Go mommy go! Go papa go!"

I smile to myself, surfacing into the warm, humid air. Unfortunately, a huge wave starts to accumulate as another body explodes into the water. A shriek of happiness explodes from the oak tree.

I quickly swat away the liquid in my eyes, searching for the blonde boy. The water is clear as Adam looks around as well.

Suddenly my feet slip from underneath me, strong hands gripping my ankles.

I manage to let out a scream before I plunge underwater. My hair floats around in front of my face, spreading like an octopus' limbs.

I push away the strands of hair as my breath starts to deteriorate. My eyes squint against the water as I push off the wall, tackling Sorrel. My head comes in contact with his gut, slamming him farther away from me.

I resurface. "Ha!" I triumphantly laugh, switching my proud gaze onto Adam. His gaze glitters, sending warmth into my heart. He brings out his hand, motioning me to give him a high five. I comply, slapping his hand with my own.

Suddenly, hands push into my hips. Hard.

Throughly surprised, I swing my arms around. My hands slap the water as if I were drowning, although my feet keep reach the floor. As if my savior had come to save me, muscular arms wrap around my waist, bringing me towards him.

"You look like a dying seagull," Adam whispers as if it were something seductive to say. His hot breath fans my neck, his tongue licking my earlobe.
