Lemonade

ARA

"Ara......What happened to you? Why are you crying?" Asked mom. I looked back and waves Eva a bye.
"I'm not in the mood of talking right now." I said holdings my tears back.
I ran upstairs and locked my door. I didn't want anyone to enter.
Why?
Why didn't mom tell me?
Why didn't dad tell me?
Is that the reason for our present conditions?
I dropped myself on my bed .
I slept.
Everything was very green. There were four people in the forest.
Mom, making an aeroplane tried to feed me.
On the other side a 2-3 year old girl was sitting in dad's lap. Dad was telling her a story.
I threw the spoon from mom's hand.
The food landed on dad's face and the spoon fell down.
We all laughed.
"BAM!"
I fell down.
I had slept for five hours.
I decided to call Eva.
"Hello." I said.
"Hi Ara. You better now?" She asked.
"Yes. A little bit." I replied.
"Do you want to tell me what happened?"
"Yes."
"Go ahead."
"I had a sister named Ava......"
Before I could continue with my sentence, Eva asked,
"What do you mean by had?"
"She died. " I said as I broke down.
I was crying again.
"What? Ara I'll reach your place in 5 minutes."
Eva said so and cut the line.
KNOCK
KNOCK.....
I heard my door being knocked.
"Ara...." I heard Eva whispering.
I opened the door and let her in.
"What were you saying?" She asked.
"It's true." I replied.
"But....."
"This happened a long time ago. We Used to be a very happy family. A mother , a father and two loving and sweet daughters. We Used to travel a lot. I was small then. Even Ava was just 5 years old. One day we decided to go to a cruise. We had dinner and danced. But then there was an accident. The cruise had an accident. The cruise tilted making everyone to fall in the sea. Even we fell. Everyone except me knew how to swim. As we reached the river bank we were relifed. We hugged each other.But the mom's dress got stuck between rocks and when Ava bent down to help her she slipped. She fell in the sea. We shouted. Dad just jumped off the cliff and started finding Ava. Even mom as was shouting her name. Because of the dark nothing could be seen. Still mom and dad didn't lose hope. They searched for her for the whole night.
Even during the next day after calling the rescue and searching for Ava the whole day she wasn't found. Her body was not found. She was declared dead. This left mom in regret and grieve. Still dad controlled himself and the family after that we never travelled. " I couldn't speak anymore.
My tears choked me.
Eva gave me a big tight hug.
