"I know you care about Ara but you can't let her problems and her worries and her life affect you. It is her life not yours, you have your own sweetheart please focus on yours."
Mom was trying to make me understand not to be a part of her quest and problems.
"But mom what kind of friend would I be if i leave her alone when she needs me?"
"Honey you don't need to deal with her. And she doesn't need you, she has her family. And trust me her family is a lot more complicated than you think. And as your mother it is my responsibility and my order to stop interfering in her life. Mind your own buisness and let her mind hers please."
I was feeling bad not because of what my mother was thinking but because i couldn't agree more with her.
"I understand what you are saying moma I'll try my best to keep out of her family but right now i need to sleep."
"I love you sweet heart. Don't let anybody hurt you.  I can't loose you too."
"I love you too moma, goodnight."
I hugged her and kissed her goodnight.
As I climbed up the stairs past the photo frame, it struck me about how i always pretend as if my life is easy and normal and simple but it isn't.
I remember when the photograph was taken, i was 13 and dad, moma and I went on a road trip. We were happy. We got out of the car and asked the vendor to click a picture of us.
Dad took me in his arms and mom wrapped her arms around him.
We all were smiling.
I remember.
"Honey don't think too much sleep now." i heard moma speak from behind.
"How long more moma? How long?"
I tried my best to hold my tears back but it was in vain.
She did not reply.
I knew she had no answer to my question.
"It's not easy to forget the memories you have with your loved one honey."
"I won't this pit feeling to end moma. when is it going to end?"
"Time will take all your pain away with it. Just hold on. It will be okay"
I gathered myself and went to my room shut the door behind me and slammed myself on the bed.
