~Percy's P.O.V, Camp Halfblood~

The lake water gently lapped the beach as I prepared for the scariest moment of my life- proposing to Annabeth. Sure, I had gone on quests and all, but this was ANNABETH. The love of my life, the star in my sky, the- never mind. You get the point.

"Percy, getting ready?" A voice teased playfully at me. I spun around, only to see Jason leaning against a tree, smirking. His glasses were carefully placed on the bridge of his nose, and he was wearing his Camp Jupiter shirt.

"Jason! You're back!" I said grinning as I jogged toward him, the box holding the ring bouncing up and down in my pocket. He planned on helping me propose Annabeth today, and if you know me well, I suck at planning.

He laughed, his blue eyes crinkling. "I'm back! Me and Pipes were stopping by to say hello to everyone, before heading back to California to continue school. She sends her hello from New Rome." He finished, smiling at the thought of his girlfriend. He then grinned at me. "Ok Romeo, let's help you pop the question."

After hours and hours of planning (Jason said that it was only about 30 minutes, but he must've been hit by a brick on the way here), we had finally finished our plan. Jason and I would lay rose petals out and then, he would tell her that I was looking for her. And then I ask her to marry me, and hopefully she says yes and we live happily ever after.....

I was waiting at the beach, pacing nervously, making sure I had the ring and that the rose petals were perfect. 'What's taking Jason so long?' I thought to myself, as I waited for my bro to come back with Wise Girl. Soon, I saw Jason running back, looking very shocked.

"You okay Jason?" I asked worriedly. This couldn't be good. "You'd better follow me to find out." He wheezed, before walking back to the pavilion, me following him.

When we finally reached the pavilion, a large crowd was cheering someone on. "Robby! Robby!" They cheered, as my stupid half- ass of a cousin walked forward, a stupid smirk on his face.

All of a sudden, Zeus flashed in. "Robby my boy!" He bellowed happily, everyone quieting down. "As of your service of killing the sea monsters for Poseidon, and defeating his longtime rival Athena, you are now my favorite demigod!" The crows roared, as I looked on shell shocked. It was me who killed the sea monsters, and defeated Athena in sparring. I had done it for a marriage blessing from the wisdom goddess herself!

Zeus continued. "And since your cousin Percy is too worthless to Olympus, Poseidon shall disown him as soon as he returns!" A few tears fell down my face, disbelief filling my mind. Annabeth then stood in the center of the circle. 'Maybe she will help me. She would understand... right?' I thought hopefully, but my hopes were crushed as I saw her kiss Robby. On the lips.

Everyone cheered, as I slowly stepped back, holding back sobs. Jason looked on, shocked, and didn't realize I had left. I shuffled back to my cabin, and started packing. I stuffed riptide in my pocket, and a few ambrosia squares. Then, I took out a piece of paper, and wrote;

Dear Camp Halfblood,
Why? Why would you do this? I saved your asses twice, but I guess I'm like all other Greek heroes- I have a tragic ending. Thalia, Piper, Nico, and Grover- I know you guys stuck with me to the end, and you weren't here when it happened, but you guys are my true friends. Thank you. Jason- stay cool my dude. I mean it. You are a brother to me. Look after Blackjack and Mrs. O'Leary for me. And tell Frank, Hazel, and Reyna I said hello. For the rest of you all- I hope I never see your ugly shit faces again.
Don't look for me- Percy Jackson

I finished the letter, and placed it on the bed. Sniffling, I walked out, took on last look at Camp Halfblood and stepped into the woods.

I walked for a long time, and then plopped by a creek. Curious to see if I still had my powers, I reached out, and the water came to my hands. I blinked confused. "You must be wondering what's happening" a soft voice said from behind.

I whirled around, only to see my former father looking at me.. with sadness? "Percy, you must have heard the news. My brother plans on finding you. You must leave this area. Go to your mother- she will help. I must go my son. Remember- I love you so much." He said with tears, before flashing away, a whiff of the sea filling my nose. I smiled on the inside. "At least Dad still cares." I mumbled, and set off to see my mom.

As soon as I reached the apartment, I knew something was off. The door was ripped from its hinges, and blood was pooling out from something. "Mom? Paul? Mom!" I yelled as I raced over to her. A spear had gone through her stomach, killing her instantly. "No, no no!" I screamed, tears falling down.

A soft cry jolted me from my grief. I drew riptide, and crept towards the nursery, where baby Gracie, my half sister, was. Paul laid bleeding on the floor, his shirt stained red, but I could tell he was alive. "P-Percy?" He gasped, shielding something that laid hidden under the crib. "Paul? Oh my gods!" I rushed to his side. "Please don't go. Mom's gone, please don't go to..." I whispered.

He looked up at me. "Gracie is under the crib." He gasped, a hand flying to his side, where it looked like something had ripped him open. I peeked under, and sure enough there she was, wrapped up in a tight bundle. I reached under and gently pulled her out.

"Hey Gracie, its your big brother Percy." I said quietly, the newborn crying softly. I gently touched her face, and was relieved to see that she had no injuries.

Suddenly, something glowed from behind me. I turned around, only to see a portal disappearing and a tall, powerful man standing behind me. "Who are you?" I said aggressively, shielding Paul and Gracie. Paul groaned, and tried to sit up, but I gently pushed his back down.

"Ah, young Perseus, I am-"

"Just Percy is fine", I interrupted.

He blinked, before continuing. "I am Chaos. The creator, and Primordial of the void" he finished. I bowed, still holding Gracie in my arms. "Rise Perseus- er, Percy. No need to bow to a family member."

I was confused, to be honest. 'Did he mean, like long distance family members? Because he would be my great great grandpa' I thought to myself. "Why are you here, Chaos?"

He smiled, his teeth perfectly straight and white. I had a bad feeling he could hear my thoughts. "I am here to offer you a position in my army. You have proven to be quite the warrior." He responded, his black cape flowing in a nonexistent wind.

"I would love to, but what about my sister and step-father? I can't just leave him here to die." I asked, looking back at Paul.

"They can come too. We better hurry though, more monsters are on their way."

I stood up, hearing the mentioned monsters run up the stair well, and I helped Paul stand. "Paul, don't worry, he's gonna help you." I told him as he mumbled nonsense. Chaos opened a portal, and we stepped inside, not looking back.
