"Beans or Potatoes, Gummy? No, we can't have both, your running me dry here!"

'Its time to go shopping, so me and gummy had to climb over the sand wall to get to the tall buildings and stuff. Those buildings are cool, but they would be cooler if they weren't all breaky. Also, the slimy people, come out in the day over here, but it's ok. Most of them just sit in the cars and moan a lot. It's pretty funny. Me and gummy are going shopping, like mommy did with me. I got my basket that I made outa blankets. All I gotta do is look REALLY hard, and I can, like, find beans and carrots and stuff. The stuff is in tin cans that I put on a shelf in my room, for "atmosphere" that's a big person word, I think.'

"HHEEEEEELLLLPPPPPPPPP" "oh my god, gummy, another person! I bet their being hurt by the slime people. Well, too bad"

"WAITTTTTTT....... Ughhh, I don't know what has happened to me, but, I, feel like ME, again.... Someone's in trouble, and I was going to ignore it... Someone's out there!"

'Old memories and new ideas are coursing through my head... I remember everything. Granny told me to run, the building crashed as soon as I climbed over the wall of sandbags built around our city... Were did we live?'

"Don't worry, I'm gonna help you!"

'I can see the slime people centering in on one area. Six or seven, I'd say. The gelatinous bodies are sorted of melding together, so it's a tough call. I shove gummy in my pack, not realizing I was still holding him.'

"Your not 9, anymore, red, you are 15!"

'I charge into the center of the slime people, grab the human, and run. But my for catches... I can feel their moisture seeping into the soles of my borrowed shoes, up my socks, my legs... Until...
