What's more entertaining than watching past interviews and reading articles of Hattori Heiji?

Strangely enough, the teen in black didn't turn up on this certain day. It was cloudy outside, the window was closed and a teruterubouzu was hanging from the frame. The pitter patter of the rain calming, even though the room was slightly colder than usual.

Shinichi had magazines piled up on the bedside table. It took a lot of persuading to get Ran to fetch them. He noticed that a lot of people were trying to avoid bringing up Heiji.

From what he could gather from these recorded interviews and articles, Heiji and himself were rivals and also best friends. Did something happen before he lost his memories that made the relationship awkward ? Heiji visits him basically every day though, that means that Heiji cares, right?

Ame looked through, continuing his 'miniature' research on his friend. If Heiji didn't want to talk about, so be it. Ame will dig out whatever he can.

"...!! This...!"
... Did Kudou Shinichi get the dokis? Yes. He got the dokis. Hattori Heiji's photos were all so precious.

Bright smile, eyes filled with ambition, standing proud...

Sure, he could be pretending to be all happy and all when getting photos taken, but Shinichi had a feeling that that wasn't the case. Those prideful smirks cannot be faked.

Soon enough, he had created a time line. He had to admit, what he had done was impressive. More so stalker-ish and sinful seeing that he was invading privacy but still. He was curious and he wanted to know more.

But no matter how long he stared, it made no sense. Heiji had stopped appearing in news articles for a while now... The last article mentioning him was about two or three months ago. Around about the time Shinichi lost his memories.

"Hmmmmm."

Ame murmured softly to himself before hearing the door to the room open. He turned his head, immediately offering a smile.

"Mouri-Chan!"

Ran stepped in, hastily. She was still upset by the fact that Shinichi was in such a state, but nevertheless, she wanted to help. The teen went to stand beside Shinichi, quickly handing him a printed A4 paper.

"I don't know if I should be doing this, but you're trying so hard and I couldn't exactly... Well."

Ran casts a glance over her shoulder. Warily.

"I have to go. We can talk about Hattori Kun later. For now, read through that. It should help."

With a wave of a hand, Ran ran off. (As funny as that sounds when read) Shinichi couldn't even utter a single word. That happened quite quickly.

Looking down at the paper in his hands, his eyes widened the slightest bit. That was...
