Young,
like blooming jasmine's in the summer,
skin pure, eyes bright, both are chasing daylight.
Alex is Naive,
Light is optimistic,
Ever wonder how would this would ever come to fit?
The two don't go together,
but somehow attract one another.
Dumb,
like young children playing with fire.
Alex has a burning desire
Light sits and conspires.
Numb,
like the mouth of one who has gotten their teeth taken out.
Alex is hurt,
Light lost the majority of her remorse.
In love,
like Barry Allen and Iris West, like Forrest and Jenny, like Betty and Jugghead.
Alex sees a future with light,
Light sees a future with Alex.
Together they will fulfill each other and grow taller than the trees in Oakland.
They will love one another and take themselves away from the pain by
supporting each other, instead of shelving for others,
they shelf for each other.
