What the hell?
How did this guy know my name?
"How do you know me?" I demanded. He looked amused.
"I just do, Elizabeth." He smirked at me. Oh dear God, those dimples. I pushed his features out of my head. I needed to get Intel on this guy.
"Don't call me Elizabeth." I hissed. "I don't go by that name anymore." He smiled. "If you say so."
"Wait. I just wanna know why you were staring at me." I looked up into his eyes. Those emeralds glittered with amusement. "Isnt it obvious?"
"No, it's not."
"You're beautiful."
I blushed a deep shade of red. "Shut up. You stole that from a book."
He laughed and put his hands in his pockets. "I don't think Augustus would mind If I used his words to speak the truth."
I was startled. It wasn't everyday I came upon a guy who read The Fault in our Stars... or even read at all. "Yeah.. I guess not."
"Anyway, I need you to come with me, Eliza." I shivered. The way he said my name was so rich. It was like pouring maple syrup.
Wait. "What are you talking about?" I'm not going anywhere with this creep!
"I want you to meet someone. She's been wanting to meet you for a very very long time." He grinned.
"Who is this person and why the heck does she want to meet me..?" I stared at him, confused. I can't think of anyone who would want to meet me.
"Just trust me. Come with me." He ran a hand through his hair. Haha. No way.
"Nice try, but there's absolutely no way I'm going with you. I just met you, emerald."
Oh crap. Did I just call him Emerald? My hands flew to my mouth.
He laughed. "That's a cool name. Although my birthstone is an Amethyst. Emeralds are pretty cool."
I rolled my eyes in spite of my embarrassment. "What's your real name, anyway?"
"Jordan Elliott. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He shook my hand. Just as our fingers touched, I felt a jolt of electricity. Probably static.
"Eliza Ramone. Pleasure's all mine." I smiled politely. I was still wary of this Jordan though. Who did he want me to meet?
"So, Eliza Ramone. Are you coming?" He grinned. He had this dangerous glint in his eyes, and I didn't like it.
"Sorry, Jordan. Can't. Stranger danger and all that." I smirked.
He smirked back."Stranger danger? Liz, we're in 3 classes together."
What?
"How come I've never noticed you before?"
"Maybe cause you're too focused on yourself?"
"What the hell?"
"Look Eliza, just come with me tonight and I'll leave you alone." Jordan sighed. "I wouldn't be doing this if she didn't ask.""Who's she?"
"My sister."
Why did his sister want to meet me? Honestly, nothing about me was really unique. Except for my hair. But I'm sure that's not what she wanted to meet for.
"So? What say?" Jordan looked at me expectantly. I sighed.
"Okay. I'm going with you."
Do you guys think I'm stupid? I probably kinda am. But curiosity is killing the cat at the moment.
I can defend myself anyway...
No. Not again.
"Well, let's go then!" Jordan grinned like a little kid.
