I decide on heading left down the narrow street, I may aswel head round to Carly's.

Carly has been my best friend since the start of infant school, and we've just been inseparable since then.

I dodge past people and cars, wondering why town is so busy.

Soon I'm knocked out of my thoughts by the sound of my phone

Pulling my phone from my overflowing bag, I search the screen for a name.

No caller i.d.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ruby?"

Its Cailyn.

"Yeah, whats up?" I question.

"Nothing, are you doing much?"

"Nope, I was just on my way to Carly's"

"Oh ok, any chance you can drop by the academy?"

"Hmmm..." I begin to groan in hesitation

"Look ,your coming you've no choice I need help with the routine"

"Isn't Carrie there to help you?"

"You're the only one who knows the routine... now hurry bye"

"But..."

Beep. beep. beep.

Great she hung up. I change direction and head for the academy. As I reach the academy I realise this is why the town was soo busy, the car park is jammed and there is cars abandoned on the sidewalk. Nobody mentioned any competitions.

I continue inside searching for Cailyn

I avoid the main hall as I've gathered there would be crowds if there really were competitions. I head straight to my shared dressing room.

Knock. knock.

No answer.

I repeatedly tap the door.

"One second... hey wheres your keys?, Gadammit!"

Cailyn stumbles across the floor with a T-shirt wrapped around her head.

"Ive lost them, and you don't wanna hear my exaggerated story about walking home or this ignorant sales assistant in that old music store.... Come here let me help you!"

I quickly help Cailyn with her drama, pulling the tightly fitted t-shirt to cover her stomach.

"Aghhhh... oh my.."

Fits of laughter roll from her mouth.

"Your oh..haha have you seen in the mirror?"

"Stop it! I've just had an horrendous time trying to get here in the rain, I've been out in it the past 2 hours, and my hair is sticking out in every direction I know, thankfully I've dried of though... my clothes no longer show the outlines of my underwear!"

"Oh no its not that its your eyes, look?"

I slowly walk to the brightly lit mirror and join in with the laughter that fills the room. No wonder Cailyn screamed I have the biggest panda eyes ever.

She reaches into a box and pulls out a wipe.

"Here.."

"Why are you so dressed up?" I ask

"Ehm just a dress rehearsal yeno.. I wouldn't want any wardrobe malfunctions would I?"

"Suppose not, when are the auditions"

"2 weeks"

"Okay so, what do you need help with?"

"Maybe we can go from the top"

"Don't think so Cail c'mon!"

"Pleassseee?"

"Ok... you do know I give in way to easily to you, don't you?"

"Yes but its because you love me!"

"I suppose it is, what song did you finally decide on?"

"Well.. You've to choose one choice of your own and then do one to Cinematic Orchestra To Build A Home"

"Okay so what song have you choose?"

"Hmm thriller or ice ice baby"

"Hahaha oh I can picture it!"

"No seriously it was what I was going to do"

Cailyn really cant keep a straight face.

"Please can we try it? Just for fun" I question

"Yes definitely"

I rummage through the closet and put on the most ridiculous looking clothes. Pulling out clothes for Cailyn we try and contain our laughter.

Cowboy hats, extremely long shirts, very short shorts , boots and sparkly shoes are just a few items which look smashing together.

Both running to the mirror we fall on the floor laughing.

"We have to take some pictures"

"I know I don't think I've ever looked better Ruby"
