I was left to my own dev-i-i-ces
Any days fell away with nothing to show
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above🎶🎶

I frowned when I heard again the annoying sound of my phone that keeps on ringing. It's 6 am in the morning and I still can feel the hangover from last night's party. My dizziness got me so distressed. For petes sake, who the heck is calling? Still lying on my bed, I turned left to reach my phone from my side table. I immediately answered the call and put it in front of my right ear.

"Hey bro. What the fudge?" I answered in disgust.

"Hey bro. It's me Zeke, how's it going?" My friend said.

"Well, I'm beyond fine, ofcourse. What d'ya need?"

"I would just like to ask ya' if you have somewhere to go this summer vacation. Our group wil go to my family's rest house. Ya'll join?"

I sighed hearing that I suppose to have this outing with my friends.

"Oh my God. I would love to. Ya' know that bro, right? Unfortunately, my family will go to my grandparents' place which is a province. And, we will be living with just a couple of hours. Got'ta experience some urban legends there."

"Ohh. Good thing to hear ma'boy. Hahaha. Just a piece of advice, be humble at the province. Enjoy." He sarcastically retorted.

I turned my phone down without saying good bye. He must be laughing now. Knowing that I will be going to a remote place. Far from the civilization.

I really don't wan'na go there, but when my dad says a thing it cannot be broken. He is rigorous, being military official. I've never been to our ancestral house since last year so I really have to join my family there.

Living at that place is like living in 80's. Low class techs, hard to find network signals, no clubs, no malls, no cool friends, no nightlife, in short boredom will surely gonna hit me. I hope grandpa and grandma knows how to do videocall, so we can no longer need to travel from Manila to province.

Meanwhile, someone continously knocked on my door.

"Hey, Ace Mom said that you've got to be ready. We're leaving by 8. For sure you haven't packed your stuffs. Take a shower little brother, I can smell your fishy armpit from here." My older sister, Maureen irritatingly shouted from outside my room.

What is irritating with her is that she often calls little brother even though I'm taller than her. I'm 17 for pete sake.

"Tell Mom that I don't wan'na come with you. I can stay here at my own." I shouted back.

"You know you can't stay here. Got'ta be prepared!"

I really don't know why she's so excited to go there. Or probably she also just can't disobey dad's rule. After some minutes, I took shower and got dressed. I packed some stuffs, including my gadgets, ofcourse. It will surely going to be boring.

As expected, we leave at 8 and travel for couple of hours. To kill my boring time, I put my music on using my iphone. My sister at my right side, looks crazy with her creepy smile plastered on her face.

After million of hours, we finally reached the far, far away province. We went out of the car and carried our packages. My ancestral house looks like an old bungalo from 80's. There is a front porch where our grandparents were sitting. They almost cried when they saw us coming.

"My son, we haven't see each other for a long time." Grandma cried while hugging dad.

"Oh Mom, you know I'm busy with my job and the kids are at school. This is really the perfect time to visit." Dad replied.
