Sans POV
I hurried to school with excitement, today was the dance and I was going with the adorable boy in school. I met him at the school gates and he gave me a quick kiss. "Morning sweetheart, I'll pick you up from your house at 4:00 pm tonight ok." "Ok."
He slung an arm around my shoulder and we walked to homeroom together. Once we opened the door everyone who saw us immediately stopped their conversations and stared.
I was confused till I noticed that Reds arm was still wrapped around my waist and blushed in embarrassment. I didn't want anyone to know but now everyone knew.
People started whispering and some of the girls were giggling. Red took his hand off me and sat down quickly while I walked over to my seat. Sci grinned wildly. "I knew it! You guys look so cute together, how long have you been going out?"
He bombarded me with questions until I slapped a hand over his mouth to shut him up. "I can't answer your questions if you keep talking. Are you gonna listen?" He nodded and I pulled my hand away. "We've been going out for a day, he asked me out and..." I told him all the details and he gasped. "That's so romantic." I rolled my eyes. "Oh grow up." He huffed and quieted down. Today was going to be a long day.
~ time skip ~
I walked out excitedly, today was the day of the dance! Someone with a strong grip grabbed me and I stopped. I looked over to see lust and I grew nervous. "Um, hey lust." "Hey there cutie. Do you wanna go to the dance with me? ~" "well actually I'm already going with someone." He scowled. "Who?" My heart pounded in my chest. We were both so close to each other and I was blushing furiously. "Um well..."
We were interrupted by Blue who giggled when he saw us. "ARE YOU TWO GOING TO THE DANCE TOGETHER?" He asked innocently. "No, I'm already going with someone else." Blue pouted but then smiled and skipped off saying "OK." In his usual loud voice.
Lust turned back to me. "You never answered my question~" I debated if I should tell him, he might become jealous and hurt Red if he finds out. Luckily my phone rang and I picked it up. "Hello?" Red answered. "Hey babe, I'm just calling to tell you that I'll pick you up from your house at 6 o'clock. Is that ok?"
I nodded even though he couldn't see me and quickly realised my mistake. "Yeah that sounds perfect, see you later." "Bye." I hung up the phone and looked back at lust. "I've got to get going now so... Bye."
He kissed me on the cheek and walked away. "Till the next time cutie." My jaw dropped and a dark blue blush spread across my entire face.
I ran home as fast as I could to avoid embarrassment and then shut myself in my room. How could lust do this to me? Urgg, good thing Red didn't see or else I'd have a really bad time. I played on my phone to pass the time and got dressed for the dance just before there was a knock on the door. I opened it to see Red in a suit. His jaw dropped when he saw me. "You look amazing." I giggled, "thanks."
We drove to the dance and sci cane running up to us with starry at his side. "Hey guys." Sci smiled, "thank god your here. The only other people here at the moment are the group of assholes, all the people that I know are late." I laughed, "wow, the universe hates you doesn't it?"
He scowled. "Yeah it does." Red suddenly tensed at my side and I knew why when I looked up. Standing in front of us was underfell papyrus who had a devilish grin on his face. "HAH THIS IS PRICELESS, HOW DID RED GET SOMEONE AS GOOD AS YOU? PSHH I THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA GO ALONE."
Red looked down with shame and I stood up for him. "Well I love him ok! He doesn't deserve to be treated like this and he's not lower than you. In fact you're the one here that alone, after all no one wants to go with you."
He huffed and walked away while threatening me under his breath. Red looked gobsmacked. "I can't believe you said that. Thanks for standing up for me." I blushed, "it's no problem now c'mon let's go dance."
I led him to the dance floor where we began to dance together. After a while I grew tired. "I'm gonna get a drink, wait here." He nodded and I walked off. As soon as I got to the table I was grabbed from behind I yelped only to realise that it was lust.
"O-oh you scared me for a moment there." He grinned adorably. "Sorry about that." I smiled shyly. "Its fine." He looked over at the dance floor. "I'm... Sorry about before, I understand if you don't like me romantically but maybe we can be just friends?" I nodded. "Sure, I'm willing to give you another chance." "Thanks, so who did you come with?"
I didn't notice the annoyance in his voice. "Oh I came with red." "Cool he seams like a good guy, did you know that we used to be friends?" I looked up at him with wide eyes. "You two were friends??" He nodded, confirming the statement. "Wow, I didn't know."
He remained silent so I began to walk back to red. "See ya later." He smiled and waved while Red started dancing with me. "I didn't know you were friends with lust." He looked confused. "I never really liked him but we hang out in the same group, I kinda thought we were still friends actually but it doesn't matter." "Oh." But he said... I just ignored it and continued having fun.
It was dark and Red led me outside while covering my eyes. "Red what are you doing?" "Just wait and see." He said playfully. He sounded nervous and excited at the same time. "Are we there yet?" "Yep." He uncovered my eye sockets and I gasped. In front of me was a stunning clearing with wild flowers and a lake. "Wow, how did you find this?" "I like exploring."
He held my hand and looked into my eyes. "Sans, will you be my boyfriend?" He was very nervous but I smiled and kissed him passionately. We stayed like that for a while until we pulled apart for air and I quietly said "yes."

Red: shut up!
Sans: oh come on! I thought it was romantic. The evening in general was great. I mean, sure, your brother insulted you to your face but it wasn't that bad.
Red:....
Sans: Oh, should I tell them about the time when you were trying to pick me up when I'd fallen asleep and you were so clumsy that you-
Red: OK! that's enough no one needs to know about that!
