Chapter 8 ~Dead?~

Clem's POV

I woke up snuggled next to Gabe in the hotel room. I yawned and blinked a few times so my eyes could adjust to the sunlight shining through the window. Gabe must've heard me yawn cause he said a simple, "Morning Clem". I smiled at his slightly messed up hair and his tired voice (A/N: I know it might sound like a lemon happened! But I promise it didn't!) "Morning Dork" I replied and sat up. Gabe yawned and also sat up. I heard voices from downstairs and decided to go downstairs with Gabe close behind.

Gabe's POV

As me and Clem walked downstairs the voices becane clearer. It was the others. Me and Clem walked into the lobby on the first floor of the hotel. "Good. You guys are awake", Molly said. "What's happening?" I asked. Clem gave them a confused look, signaling she wanted to know as well. "We're getting the hell out of here so we can get to California" Kate said with a sleeping Derek in her arms.

Clem's POV

I was confused as to why we were leaving. I mean, this place can be easily fortified. I saw AJ holding Lee's hand like I used to do when I was little. I smiled to myself at the memory. "We'll be fine here, Kate" Javi said. Kate shook her head "We need to get to Timber Avenue. Now." Kate said. "Uh, where are we supposed to be going?" I asked. "It's the backup location for The Den" Javi said. I nodded. "Kate's right, we need to leave" Lee said. "No we don't. We are perfectly--Fuck!" Javi screamed and collapsed to the ground holding his stomach. "Javi!" Tripp said and rushed over to him. We all looked at a busted window. I saw a guy beside a a car and got my gun out and shot him. "Get Javi to cover. Me, Lee, Kenny and Luke will fight off these assholes" I said. "But, Clem--" Gabe started but I cut him off, "I'll be fine. I need you to watch AJ for me. Please?" I said. Gabe hesitantly nodded and got AJ to cover. Everyone but me, Lee, Kenny and Luke got to cover. Me, Lee, Kenny and Luke walked out of the hotel firing bullets at anyone we saw.

20 Mins Later....(Sorry for being lazy asf)

All the bandits were either dead or said 'Fuck this' and left. Me, Lee, Kenny and Luke rushed back inside. "He....he barely has a pulse. We need to get to California" Eleanor said. Lee and Kenny got Javi to a truck while the rest of us got any supplies we could and got back in the cars. I got in the driver seat and started driving. The other car plus the truck followed. Gabe was in the passenger seat with AJ on his lap. "How is he?" I asked Eleanor over a walkie talkie. "I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, he may not make it" Eleanor responded. I now had tears in my eyes after hearing the horrible news. "Just....fuck....I dont know.....keep his eyes open and keep him talking for as long you can" I said back. Gabe was now crying and so was Kate. "Okay" Eleanor responded before we turned our walkie talkies off. "Hey. It's okay, I'm sure he'll make it. If he's survived this long, then he should be okay" I said to Gabe. He nodded and wiped the tears away.

Gabe soon fell asleep and I kept driving.

~He's like my big brother.....he can't die now....~
