Shadows in the Dark

As the sunlight passes through my skin to pour light over my body to create a grey figure called a shadow. Many people won't realize it until they befriend me, this is a supposed to be kept a secret. I do not have a shadow. I've always avoided glassy objects because they show the true me.

I often wonder if anyone else can see the other shadow, the fake one of course. They are wrong if they think I am simply a vampire or human looking alien with this grey human like figure, like the ones in the movies.

How naive are you to think it is cool, not having a shadow is hell. I am being controlled by this shadow and it feeds my minds' will. I'm slowly being taken over and soon I will be just a shadow and the shadow will be my body.

There's no hope for humanity, hence why I must do the one thing I can do. Kill myself. Please know that there is no saving the little time I have in this world. I have only 3 days with everyone before I'm completely taken over.

This .. is for you all to live a life without chaos. I'm sorry it has to be this way...

I quickly grab a knife from the drawer. I've been planning this without any of the shadow's notice. I looked both ways before stabbing my arms and then my heart. I went deep in and my eyes watered in pain. My breath hitched but I tried to mute sound so it wouldn't hear. With one stab I stabbed my heart only to be stopped by the him.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?! WE WERE GOING TO DOMINATE THE FUCKING WORLD!!!", he was infuriated and sounded demonic at this point. Of course he's a fucking shadow demon.

I stayed quiet holding both of my bloody arms.

"I-I don't care.. about dominating the world. I care ab-bout everyone else who you'll try to dominate", I hissed in pain.

"YOU'RE A FUCKING MORON! HOW COULD YOU BETRAY ME YOU PEASANT"

"What are you talking about?! I was NEVER on your side"

"Oh right. I guess taking about your shadow made you weaker and forget. Don't you remember Ally? The girl who died."

"What does she have to do with you?", I hissed.

"You killed her. You were the reason of her death. She always bullied you and call you shit, but in the end she confessed her love to you. I hid the evidence and made everyone forget. Especially you", he simply spoke.

I remembered.

"N-no! It can't-", I was healing. It burned. I shrieked in pain shaking.

"Ally~"

"Dylan I love you!"

"That's a fucking lie you slut! You told everyone that .. and now you must pay bitch .. why would you tell them I slept with you? I did not rape you.."

I-I'm sorry Dylan .. I didn't know what to do .. I've never felt like-"

"ENOUGH!"

She moved closer to me.

"If I have to die then at least grant me this", she stopped and looked at me for confirmation.

I nodded. "What is it?"

She came closer to put her arms on my neck and said, "kiss me."

I glared daggers at her and pushed her off of me and replied, "fuck no."

She pulled out a knife.

"Your intentions were similar to mine haha."

"I'm nothing like you trust me", I hissed.

"You have no shadow. We're all Shadow monsters and we all die when we kill at least 1500 people"

She smiled a crooked smile.

"I don't care I want to eliminate ALL of you!"

"I didn't make a deal with you though!"

"Wrong again. Before you got killed by Ally, you begged for help and that's where I came in."

I stayed quiet. What the hell is this?! What is he speaking of?

It looks over and stares knowing exactly what I'm thinking of and says, "Join me for the 2nd time."

I shouldn't but I can't control my words anymore.

I looked at him speaking those three words agaisnt my will.

"I'll join you"
