To Be a Mermaid (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter: One

Aphmau swam eagerly towards her house. The potion was wearing off so it was getting harder to breathe. She finally arrived towards her little cave which was decorated with lilac fairy lights, purple and blue shells, pink sparkle lights, and a shell bed.

She swam towards her desk, which was made from water crystals, and opened it. She grabbed the bottle with the dark blue liquid inside and drank it. She immediately began to breathe better. She then realized that she only had 3 bottles left.

'I wish i was a whole mermaid. I'm sick of taking potions just so i can breathe underwater' she thought.

She swam out of her cave and back towards the village. There were mermaids everywhere. Aphmau grabbed some coins from her purse and swam towards a shopping stand labeled 'Potions'.

"Hi zoey" Aphmau greeted the blonde haired mermaid elf. "Hello Aphmau, need more water breathing potions?" She asked.
Aphmau nodded her head and handed Zoey the coins.
"Thankyou, here you go" Zoey smiled and handed Aphmau 10 potions.
"Thankyou" Aphmau smiled and waved goodbye.

Other mermaids stared at Aphmau with curiosity and disgust. They knew exactly who, and what, she was. Aphmau ignored all the stares she got. It happened all the time.

"Well, if it isn't the halfmer" A new voice called out. Aphmau turned around and saw a dark pink haired girl who had a light pink tail.
"Excuse me?" Aphmau questioned.
"Tell me, what is it like to not be able to live in your own home without using potions to help you breathe?" She smirked.
"I-I guess it's... I dont know..." Aphmau mumbled.
"Face it, you don't belong here. Why don't you go live with the humans?" She said, smugly.

Aphmau glared at her. The humans are the reason why mermaids have to live in the deepest trench of the ocean. Nobody is allowed to go to the surface because of what they do to mermaids. "Leave her alone, Ivy" Zoey swam up to Aphmau and glared at ivy.

"Or what?" Ivy smirked once more.
"Or this!" Zoey threw a potion on Ivy. She suddenly began to make chicken noises.
"You threw a chicken potion on her?" Aphmau turned towards zoey, laughing.
"Yup, now hurry! It doesn't last that long!" Zoey exclaimed.

Aphmau thanked her once more the began to swim back towards her cave. Once she got there she saw 3 merpeople already in there.
"Um... who are you?" Aphmau asked, confused as to why they were in her home.
"Ah, there you are. We're here to make a deal with you" the white haired mermaid swam up towards Aphmau.
"Deal? But..." Aphmau swam back, suspicious.

The white haired mermaid took her hand and dragged her towards Aphmau's table. They took a seat. There was a brown haired merman with red eyes, a brown haired merman with blue eyes, and the white haired mermaid. She had a purple tail with purple eyes. The blue eyed guy had a blue tail and the red eyed guy had a red tail.

"What's this about?" Aphmau asked.
"What if we told you that you could become a whole mermaid, I'm Sasha. This is Zenix and Gene" the white haired mermaid greeted.
"I'm Aphmau... how?" She asked.

"Give me your hand" sasha asked. Aphmau put out her hand and sasha grabbed it. She closed her eyes and focused. Once she opened them, she looked annoyed. "We'll be right back" sasha said.

Sasha, Zenix, and Gene all left and went outside. Aphmau was even more suspicious. They broke into her home stating that they wanted to make a deal with her? Not suspicious at all.

"She doesn't have a broken heart. This isn't going to work" sasha whispered towards zenix and gene. They didn't want Aphmau to over hear them.
"What if we MAKE her have a broken heart?" Gene asked.
"How do we make someone have a broken heart?" Zenix asked.
"Just follow my lead. Why don't we have a little fun with this?" Gene smirked.

They all swam back towards Aphmau.
"Here's the deal, you need to bring us a human who has fallen in love with you" Gene announced to Aphmau.
"Why?" Aphmau asked.
"We need a human who is in love in order to make a spell. After that, we'll turn you into a whole mermaid" Sasha said.
"Deal?" Zenix asked.

Aphmau didn't trust them. However, she wanted all of the weird stares to stop. She wanted to fit in and make more friends.

"Deal"
