002
like planned, i'm currently spending valetines day by myself. just me, my bed, and my beloved laptop. who knew that this was better than hanging out with my asshole of a best friend, bae jinyoung. okay, no one, because it's not better. i sighed as i opened my phone to my lock screen, who was of course, my love, jeon jungkook. i typed in my passcode and checked if i had any notifications. nope, not even one. not even a single "happy valentine's day" from that one person.
i decided to take a nap, since i had nothing else to do. i turned off the kdrama i was watching and laid my head down on my pillow. of course, all of sudden, i hear a loud noise outside my window. i looked out and there, jinyoung was, climbing up a tree to get to my room. i opened my window.
"jinyoung, what the hell?"
"surprise!" he threw in a basket of random shit he probably found in his house.
"what is this?"
"your valentines gift. you're welcome." he winked.
"i didn't know i was five." i said sarcastically.
"shut up. i got you a coloring book and crayons because i know you like to color. granola bars because they're healthier than chocolate. a card that i wrote, with a lot of thought by the way, and the paper rose i learned to make, myself. since apparently girls don't like real ones." jinyoung said proudly, sitting beside me.
i smiled, knowing that he thought about me while preparing all this. even though this may not seem to be the best gift to give someone on valentines, it made me happy.
"thanks." i said and put my hand out for a high five.
"all i get is a high five? i don't get a hug?" he asked.
i smiled and jumped on him, giving him a big bear hug.
"bom, i can't breathe!"
i got off of him and he gasped for air.
"if your dad came in, and saw us like that-"
"uh, he knows i would never."
"you would. no one can resist this." jinyoung said pointing at his face.
"yeah, no one can resist punching you in the face." i replied.
"i'm leaving." jinyoung said getting up.
"no! i'm sorry." i said grabbing his arm.
"i thought so." i swear he's so cocky.
"why are you here, anyway?"
"i promised to spend valentine's day with you, didn't i?"
"what about that pretty senior? oh no, did she stand you up?" i asked, actually worried.
"no, i never asked. she would say no anyway."
"you should've, and if she says no, she's dumb. her loss." i frowned.
"what's that i hear? my bom actually caring for me?" jinyoung smiled.
"my b- no. i don't even care about you."
"stop frowning. smile, like this." he said and poked both sides of my cheeks with two fingers, and raised them up to form a smile.
"stop doing that." i said and pushed him away.
"doing what?"
"being like that. being cute or whatever." i turned the other way, out of embarrassment.
"i can never stop being cute." he smiled, with cockiness.
