I flew up to the laboratory and took the chemicals I needed. I mixed them together but I was still missing something. Then, I remembered. The tear of true sadness. How was I supposed to cry when time was running out?! Jack! I thought about all the years we've been bestfriends and how I have to sacrifice it all... for him to be free and live on without me. I thought about all the things that I never got to teach him. All the things he was so curious about. His words were stained into my brain, " I want to learn about the animals that lived underwater." And most of all, the few words that would burn in my heart forever more, "I can't lose you. You're my best friend." I felt a hot tear run down my cheek and I let it fall into the beaker along with the other chemicals inside. I gave it one last mix and poured it down my throat. A burning sensation went down with it and I felt like I might shrivel up and die right then and there. I went back down the tube and Jack looked confused then his face went blank. I looked behind me and there was Mr. Burgenhimmer along with the three cyborg rulers. "Go Jack Go!" I screamed and we both got on the hoverboards and road. Jack had no idea where we were going but, he would know soon. "Follow me!" I yelled looking back at him seeing that Mr. B and the cyborgs weren't far behind them. We road to the back of the city and I jumped off the board with Jack behind me. I stood right in front of the pit of unknown holding Jack's hand. "Why are we here?! They're going to corner us. We have nowhere to go!" Jack stuttered. "Trust me." I said looking into Jack's icy blue eyes, when I finally figured it out in the last second. He was like me. Except not. He was from another family, but on the same planet. But did he inherit the same abilities?
