Chapter 3

                                                                            ~Chapter Three~

The teacher walked in as I s.aw Alex about to respond.

"Settle down class, today we are going to work on our essay,"

The class sighed as our teacher mentioned an essay, but my mind was somewhere else as the teacher talked about our assignment.I quickly got out a piece of paper and quickly wrote down a note and folded it and put it on Alex's desk.He looked down and unfolded it.I saw him write something down before folding it back again.He passed it to me and I took it.I quickly unfolded it and read the note.

' Stella, I don't want you being friends with your ex...i dont even want you near him because I like you'

I gasped and covered my mouth with my hand.I felt a stirring in my chest.I had thought he liked me but I doubted it.I got up from my seat and fixed my black dress before grabbing the pass and leaving for the bathroom.I quickly walked to the bathroom and texted Eliza and Ching to meet me.Minutes later, I saw my best friends walk into the bathroom.

"What's up?" Eliza asked coming up to me and standing in front of me.

"Alex likes me, look at this note," I said handing her the note.She quickly read the note.Her face showing a mix of emotions.She then looked up at Ching and handed her the note.Ching read the note after and then folded it back again.

"He seems a bit possessive and he doesn't even know you," Ching said looking at me and tossing the note into the trash bin.

"I don't think he was being possessive about it, he just said he liked me and that he didn't want me near Chris," I said folding my arms and raising my eyebrow at my friends.

Eliza cleared her throat and looked at me.

"We aren't saying that it wasn't sweet but it was a bit weird with him being all possessive over you," Eliza said looking at me and Ching.

"I don't find anything possessive about it but alright," I said shrugging my shoulders.

After a while I looked up at them.

"Should I go out with him if he asks me?" I asked them unfolding my arms and looking into the mirror and fixing my hair and dress.

"I say go for it," Eliza said cheerfully while doing the same.

"I don't have a good feeling about this Ella," Ching said looking at her phone.

"Why not? I deserve to be happy again Ching," I said turning and looking at her, putting my hand on my hip.

"Because he doesn't seem safe ella," Ching said putting her phone in her pocket.

"What do-"

"We need to go back to class guys," Eliza said cutting me off.

"Yeah we should," I said grabbing the pass and walking out the bathroom angrily.

How could Ching say that about Alex? She didn't know a thing about him.

'Same with you' My inner voice said.

I shook my head and walked into the classroom.I put the pass down onto Mr.Avery's desk.Everyone looked at me as I walked back to my desk.I rolled my eyes.I was so used to the stares.People always looked at someone coming into the classroom like they killed a person.I sat down and gave Alex a small smile.I crossed my legs and began my essay.I felt Alex's eyes on me as I focused on my work.This went on for the whole period.

The bell rung and I gathered all my things.I walked out of the classroom and saw that Alex was waiting for me outside the classroom.We talked the whole way to my next class.He told me that he had science this period.I had gym this period.That meant he would have to walk all the way across the building.We walked to the side and stood by the wall.
