You received on your phone, biting your lip as you read over the text again. Your younger sister was already getting married for the second time, as her first marriage didn't go very well.
You're already 26 years old, and still haven't found a romantic partner. One of those people who can't seem to find 'the one' although everyone around you has been getting engaged or married.
For the past 5 years, you have been pushed by his parents to find someone special, they were concerned because never once in your life did you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend. They've been worried and it honestly just agitated you. You're a strong believer in 'the right one will come at the right time'.
You let out a sigh, leaning against your palm as you thought of what to do. You lived alone now, however you knew that if you brought no one to the wedding, your parent's would complain till no end.
To take your mind off things, you opened his phone where he scrolled through your Instagram feed, your thumb dragged across the screen multiple times before stopping at a specific post, one that made your eyebrow furrow.
"Receive randomly generated texts! Fool your friends! Create the boyfriend of your dreams at createaboyfriend.com!'
As stupid as the app sounded, it didn't seem like such a bad idea to get it, right? That way you wouldn't have to scroll through every single dating app and rush into a relationship you clearly aren't ready for. Besides, you'd be able to tell your parents that you've had found a boyfriend, but he wasn't free for the event, and just show her some fake texts. It seemed like a pretty legit plan to you. Right?
