“What will you like, sir?” The cashier asked you and you smiled in reply.

“A caramel macchiato and a (f/d), please.”

She nodded and smiled at you flirtatiously, “Your name is?”

“(Y/N).” You gave her a fake smile, before leaning over and taking the marker from her hands.

On the other cup, you felt your cheeks heat up slightly as you wrote, “Maki” on its side.

You handed the marker back to the girl, who had a look of surprise etched onto her features, making you feel like bursting into laughter there and then.

Stupid humans. We werewolves remain only with one mate. We don’t shame ourselves by constantly switching mates.

You scoffed at her after receiving the drinks, but she still shot you a lustful look, causing you to roll your eyes as you headed back to the table.

As you were approaching, you could see the beautiful face of your angel reading her book, the moonlight shining pleasantly on her pale skin.

If only she could be a werewolf like me...

You set the drinks in front of her and she looked up, her purple eyes locking with yours and softening, her red hair striking and unique.

“You gave me a fright there.” Maki whispered, turning away with a small blush dusting her cheeks.

“Sorry, angel.” You winked, making her grow darker while shooting you a self-conscious gaze.

“St-Stop that.”

Laughing, you gave her the caramel macchiato, pushing a straw in for her.

“Th—–Thanks.” She fidgeted in her seat and pushed her book to the far right of the table before accepting the drink from you.

You smiled at her, feeling warmth flood over you.

This feeling...I never want it to fade away.
