Oh brother

Chapter 21

"Okay Veronica, here is your apron" my new boss Alice said to me. She looked like she was in her early 40's. She was short and had black hair which was in a tight pony tail. She handed me a maroon apron with a ice cream cone on it under it I was wearing black stretch pants and a low crop top. I took the apron and put it on. Today was my first day, I worked Tuesday days, Wednesday days, Thursday nights, and Friday days. "Okay so today you will be trained by Grayson, he is in charged when I'm not here...though I don't know why I trust him he is never here on time"

"Talking shit on me Ally" a tall cute boy with perfectly styled hair came out of the bathroom. (Picture above)

"Oh look who's on time for once" Alice said looking at Grayson.

"Well when I heard I would be training a beautiful girl today I knew I couldn't be late" he said walking over to us smiling. "Hey I'm Grayson" he smiled, his smile was beautiful he should never stop smiling.

I extended my hand "Veronica...you can call me Roni"

He bit his bottom lip then let go...so fucking hot "you can call me Gray" he took my hand and shook it.

"Okay I have some things to take care of I'll be back in 2 hours" Alice said and left.

I looked at the clock, 9:30, the shop didn't opened until 11:00 but I had to come in early for training.

"So are we the only ones working here?" I asked him we were standing behind the counter, he hopped on the counter and sat on it while I stood in front of him leaning against the wall, it was narrow back there so the wall and the counter weren't to far apart.

"Yea, usually we hire someone at the beginning of summer and they work until the end then quit and don't come back next summer because they find something better" he rolled his eyes "but for me this is as good as it gets" he smiled.

I smiled and examined the place. There were white tables everywhere with maroon chairs that matched the aprons. "How long have you worked here?" I asked him.

"Since I was 14, now I'm 18 so I can't leave I mean 4 years here, this is my second home" he shrugged.

He hopped off the counter "well I don't know why Alice is making me train you...I mean if they want a small ice cream you get the small cup put 2 scoops of that ice cream in and move on, medium 3 scoops, large 4. If they want toppings they will tell you which ones, put a good amount move on... a cone...get the one sized cone put 3 scoops and mov--"

I cut him off "yea I get it and move on"

He smiled and laughed "okay...so cash register"

It was 6:00 I got off of work in an hour. I was wiping the counter top and Grayson was wiping some tables. "Why is it so slow today" I said looking around seeing no one was here.

"Well it's usually busier around 5:00-9:00 plus it's Wednesday and people usually come later in the week" Grayson shrugged.

"Tomorrow I work the night shift" I said putting the rag in the sink in the back room.

"I usually work from 11:00-7:00 then Alice takes over but I had to come in earlier for you so thanks so much" he said sarcastically

"Aw thank you so much for making that sacrifice for me your so kind I owe you the world" I said putting my hand on my heart acting sincere.

"Ha Ha so funny" Grayson said jokingly.

Someone walked in and I looked at the door, it was Oliver and Nina.

"Hiii" Nina sang walking to the cash register.

"Hey guys" I smiled and leaned over to kiss Oliver.
