CHAPTER FOUR:

From what you thought, this kid was pretty cool. Apparently his name was Eridan Ampora, and you two were attending the same school. You felt kinda bad, though. It was his first day and he didn't have any friends. You would oblige, but you weren't very good at making friends. They couple of friends you had now, you had made when you were younger. Either that, or they talked to you first. Sollux had been your best friend since kindergarden. You two even dated for almost a year in eighth grade, in fact he was your first kiss. Even with your past with him, you two didn't let that get in the way of your friendship.

Feeling a bit of sympathy for the new (and obviously rich) kid, you decided to introduce him to your friends. You helped him dodge the messy haired skateboarders, the popular girls oogling over eachother's overpriced coffee and UGG boots, the stoners, the tomboys, and the bitchy tomboys, and finally made your way to the only fucking sane people in the school.

Your clique never really fit into a classification, but you were all better known as the goth kids. Except for Sollux, of course, who was a total nerd. Karkat had dressed in a lot of black and his skin was pastey and pale, so he was classified as goth.

Rose and Kanaya were proper young ladies and had the best manners and ettiquite. Why they hung out with you, you'll never understand. They had been considered the 'classy goths', due to Rose's interest in witchcraft and necromancy and Kanaya's obsession with vampires.

Nepeta and Equius were completely different stories. Nepeta had been the lovable neko we all grew to love. By neko, you don't mean she's a literal cat, or that she just cosplays as a neko on occasion. She wore cat ears and a tail. Every. Fucking. Day. Equius was her best friend. Equius was the star athelete of the school. He was the sole reason the "Alternia Cherubs" football team was undefeated. He actually used to have a thing for you, and your felt kinda bad after turning him down.

Karkat stopped mid-insult during his conversation with Sollux about computers to roll his eyes and say "Who the ever loving fuck is this douchebag?" You punched him lightly on the shoulder, causing him to grumble and curse under his breath more than usual. "Don't be an ass. Guys, this is Eridan. He's new and moved in next door to me." Eridan gave them a weak smile and a shy wave of his hand. The others gave off warm 'hello's, Sollux rolling his eyes. "Thith better not be another one of your boyfriendth, AA." His lisp made it hard for you to understand some of the things he said, but you got used to it. "He's not. What, am I not allowed to have friends other than you?"

"No. You're not." he chuckled a bit.
